“Splurge for one night only”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 February 2012

I never stay at very expensive hotels, but I must say this hotel stay made me feel like a king. The smiles of all the staff are intoxicating and the service is superb. The grandeur and elegance of the hotel actually palace, is overwhelming . Beautiful grounds and and a beautiful swimming pool come handy in middle of the day if you need some shade and relaxation after touring. The spa although expensive is a must to visit. The indoor pool is great too. I ask to see some of the suites and those have hot tubs in the room and amazing furniture.

“Nice historical hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

I liked the hotel because it had a lot of history and it was indeed a nice hotel with nice and friendly staff. On thing that I did not like was the interior of the corridors. It made me dizzy.
However, the room was nice and clean. The restaurants were very nice and I liked especially the one with only Indian food. I think that the big room was one of the most beautiful ones I've been in.

One big plus here was that the staff was not all over you as in many other hotels. They were professioanlly trained!

The location of the hotel was good, although you could hear some sound from the big road outside the hotel. But what could you expect in a city? It was nice to have a big garden and green area in the center of a big city.

Unfortunately we did not have time to try out the spa facilitites, but we did visit them and they looked very good. Next time I will try them for sure!

This is a hotel I will come back to anytime again!

“Excellent serviceGood foodWonderful surroundings”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012 via mobile

My wife and I stayed for 2nights and eat at the Italian Resturant. Room was wonderful, service was exemplary, and the staff made us feel very comfortable. The only downside was that tHe bar service was a little slow.

“Overpriced and overrated”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

Reading all the raving reviews we think most guests stayed as part of a package deal and were mostly impressed about the location itself. However we were very disappointed about Taj Rambagh palace hotel.
Firstly, do not book with Agoda. This booking agent advertises fake / mock discounts and the website is very misleading. We mentioned this in an email before our visit to Rambagh and they never responded. We paid $500 per night excluding breakfast and when we checked out we also had to pay Rambagh a luxury tax. This was not mentioned anywhere in our reservation or booking details.
Secondly, the attitude at reservations, reception and in one of the restaurants was quite arrogant and commercial.
Thirdly, room looked impressive. However, bathtub is too small for an adult, bathroom not very clean, if you took a shower the whole room was flooded and the bed was uncomfortable. And also you could hear all the noise from the corridors.
After our round trip through India, we can recommend the Oberoi hotels: much better quality and service.

“2nd Stay - Still my favorite hotel ever”

I can't add much to all the great reviews here - except to reaffirm how special this property is. The service is unbelievable, the beauty of the place is amazing. The rooms are a thing to experience. The manager in the Rajput room made my daughter's 21st birthday very special. This is a place to experience.
