Not an extensive menu but what they do is excellent. The Thalis are delicious and very good value for money. After a day of sightseeing it's nice to not have to leave the hotel to find good quality Indian (and international) food.

We stayed in Arya Niwas for 5 days in Nov 2011. The hotel is very economical and most important clean & hygienic! I have stayed in many budget hotels across India but no hotel can match the cleanliness of Arya Niwas at such a low price. The house keeping service is quick but the room service for food is limited only for tea & coffee and may be they could extend that to breakfast if not for other meals. The ambiance is also good with lawns fronting the hotel and couple of courtyards within the hotel building giving good light to the rooms. The travel desk is also very efficient and always ready with the vehicles for your hire! The food in its 'Chitra Restaurant' is very good but the system of selecting the food items at the payment order is not a great one. The serving is also a bit slow and probably they can improve by adding more staff. In any case, this is by far the best deal that you could get in a low price!

Vegetarian Indian and Western food. Simple, safe, very good. This is a cafeteria more than a restaurant as you place your order with a cashier (all of them extremely friendly). The wait for the food to be served can be long sometimes but it's otherwise very good. I have breakfast and most dinners there whenever I am in Jaipur. Excellent value for money - less than Rs.200/pers for dinner. It's open all day without interruption, which can be very valuable if you suffer from serious jet lag.
