I stayed at the President in Jan 2012 for 3 nights. It is a standard Taj property with the same efficient service, excellent attention to detail and attention to comfort across the hotel.

It appears that this property was taken over by the Taj group and has been renovated. Each floor has a different decor - so it will be a kind of hit or miss ! I stayed on the 9th floor of the hotel where the decor was all in shades of brown and black - which made the rooms look even smaller and not really a bright place (the lighting was also subdued). So when making a reservation or a booking please make a specific request.

The breakfast was one of the best with excellent service - there a number of staff who take individual orders ( variety of eggs, toast, frech toast, dosa, waffles) and serve them at the table. One small note - during my stay the restaurent was always overcrowded and they arrrange for additional seating by the poolside.

The staff are exceptional !

A really good experience and would stay again without doubt

Had stayed at the Taj President when on a business trip to Mumbai. The hotel has comfortable rooms without too much emphasis on luxury. The hallmark of the hotel is the food. Trattoria, the Italian restaurant Has been a Mumbai institution for a long time now. Even Wink and the Thai restaurant are of a very high standard.. Being in the heart of Cuffe Parade, the hotel is located close to the financial district and is a great place to stay when on work. The spa and fitness centre facilities along with the swimming pool offer good avenues to relax after a tough days work. Food lovers must make a trip to Moshes which is on the road leading up to the President..

I enjoyed it very much.

I was there for a wedding and stayed at the taj for 2 nights with my spouse and infant. This hotel, is mainly for business travelers and offers good service. The restaurant Trattoria is a highly rated one and the lounge 'Wink' is also quite well known. The staff are accommodating and pleasant. The only thing I didn't like was the scarcity of King Size beds. As per them, they only have king size mattresses available on 2nd and 3rd floors. Since they were all booked, we were assigned a twin bed and then were able to change to queen bed. They have cots for toddlers, but no so ideal with infants.
