Just one question I want to ask everyone running the show at Taj Landsend Mumbai-what makes each and everyone of your staff so dedicated to his work-they simply seem to be in love with the hotel. I’ve always enjoyed my stay at Taj but this time I was forced to write a review due to the unparalleled hospitality offered.
The 1st night of my stay -their frontdesk upgraded me to the Club room without me even asking for it. Guess my long Innercircle relationship was being honoured there-WOW
I loved the experience so much that I extended my stay through Monday in the same room .
Mondays I fast and I called up the house keeping to send me a knife to cut the tangerine in my room. They just faintly heard the word tangerine and lo-there was NABI, the butler with a tray of tangerines-“I thought I ll get you fresh ones”-kind-a care- a mother would show.
Tue morning I was getting late for work and was awaiting a parcel that was on its way up from the Bell desk-Umesh, the housekeeper cleaning the opposite room –asked –“any problem Madame..?”Hearing it he immediately called up bell desk to send my stuff ASAP and when still it did not turn up he went running down to get it for me-It was absolutely beyond his call of duty-some dedication.
Hearing that I was fasting, the club room lounge chef immediately sent a plate of apples for me-
The Bellboy Nathuram, the lift operators, the Gym attendants-who would change the water bottle as soon as the previous one got over , the valets –All courtesy personified.
Not to mention the amazing food at MingYang- esp Seabass ;Masala Bay-esp Chicken taridar and great breakfast spread at Vista.
Yeah-here’s a matter of concern –The breakfast spread is so scattered that people miss out on half the items-esp the counter serving yogurt n salad –It surely needs to be looked into. Plus the spread looks a little incomplete the way its laid out.
I have stayed in some of the best properties world wide-but as they say theres nothing like hospitality of the East-I wd say No place like India and No hotel like Taj-Its like coming home-and for a lady-Its like coming to her Moms home—“Maaykaa”.
Room Tip: go for club room -Its worth every penny
