An oasis amongst crowded Indian suburbia but once there you are trapped with very expensive food of medium quality and characterless decor. Claim that executive floor is biggest in asia but it's not - also freezing cold and 70s soviet style decor with poor selection of snacks. Lifts in new block were slow and kept kidnapping us to wrong floor. Room was noisy and hot water spasmodic. Staff tried very hard but not good value.

Great place to unwind. Away from the hustle and bustle of Mumbai, this hotel is located next to the beautiful Povai Lake. The rooms offer spectacular views of the lakeside and Hiranandani. Make sure you ask for a lakeside room so you can enjoy the view.

They also have a nice night club if you are there on the weekend. Be careful before you order, the drinks were price very steep everywhere in the hotel! We paid more than Rs. 1000 for 2 Kingfisher beers. Other hotels of this star rating in the city usually charge about Rs. 250 - 300 per Kingfisher pint.

Good value for a business meeting/conference. Its conveniently located for IIT Mumbai. The hotel is also lakeside for some beauty. I found the look and feel a bit tacky. But, despite that it is comfortable and the staff is very helpful.

I stayed at the Lakeside Chalet for 5 weeks in Feb-March 2011.

Good at face value with large rooms & curteous staff. However, most rooms are in fact dated with old appliances & furnishings.
In addition walls to adjacent rooms are thin so you can hear everything going on next door. Further to create a disturbance, there were problems with the plumbing which resulted in banging noises all night. Upon complaining, I was told that I was mistaken! At a later date they finally fixed it.
To make my perception of this place even worse several things of mine went missing and were never returned. Belongings held in storage for me prior to moving to permanent accomodation elsewhere & someone helped themselves to some items. Very dissapointing and no apology from the staff.
