This might be OK for the business traveller. However no taxi or rickshaw driver had a clue how to find iit. Luckily we had a map and had to try and direct them to it ourselves - obviously not a fault of the hotel but very off-putting. Luckily one of us has good map reading skills and sense of direction! Area appeared very dodgy and notice in lobby of hotel advising caution around market area with mobiles, wallets - in fact anything moveable was a bit concerning!
Room was pretty OK but noisy - dogs, horns and general traffic as well as the noise from the clearing up of the upstairs kitchens around mid-night. Felt the pre-paid taxis arranged by hotel were rip off - paid 300 Rupee to New Delhi Railway Station and 650 Rupee for transfer to another hotel in Defence Colony which was said to be 22 km away. It certainly wasn't this far as the airport is only 25 km maximum. Why were we transferring? Well, after 3 nights of trying to direct taxis/rickshaws back and feeling very unsafe in the local streets we decided to move to South Delhi for our final night in India.
Staff were however generally helpful sorting out safe, extra coffee sachets for room but once we queried the taxi cost they became decidedly frosty!
