I stayed here some weeks ago and i found that it was a great place to stay in. It has an excellent location and is affordable. It is only a few minutes away from Lodhi Gardens and just 10-15 minutes away from Cannaught Place, Khan market, India Gate and Humayun's tomb which are a must for all tourists in delhi. For business travels it is even better as it is extremely peaceful and very neat and clean. I liked it so much because it had a charming quality which makes it feel like home and the veranda was also excellent. i think that the slightly ancient look also adds a nice touch and gives it a great atmosphere. The only thing that was not so great was the restaurant as it was a little small but as it turns out, there are some of the best restaurants of Delhi in Cannaught Place and Khan Market which are both quite close. I would definitely recommend this place for people visiting Delhi as it has one fo the best locations.

Stayed there a couple of times. A very good guest house in a good area. The service was good.
The staff was decent. The best part is the guest house is loacted in the posh Jor Bagh area so walk on the road is good.The only problem is, there is no good restaurant for lunch or dinner in the surroundings so had to search for it. Being in the middle of city is very near to a lot of landmarks. Jor Bagh metro is walkable.

Finding a reasonably priced hotel in quiet area is rare in Delhi. Look no further than Jorbagh 27. I found it's location very convenient to places of interest in south Delhi, including Lodi Garden (a two minute walk from the hotel), Humayun's Tomb, Khan Market (for excellent shopping and restaurants), India Gate and National Gallery of Modern Art. If you stay here, make sure to check out the calendar of free cultural shows at the India Habitat Center (a five minute walk from the hotel).

The hotel itself is located in a posh, quiet and safe neighborhood. Some rooms are shoe-box sized and lack windows; make sure to ask for a room with windows. The metro isn't a short walk, but it isn't far either (about 10-15 minutes walk). There are a few shops selling sundries and a couple banks nearby, but the shops close early. The hotel makes breakfast on site (with very limited, but decent options), but orders in from a restaurant for lunch and dinner. The restaurant's food is cheap, but oily. I would recommend eating lunch/dinner elsewhere.

Overall, I rate the hotel 4/5 because although it met my needs during my business stay, it might not meet tourist's needs if they need help arranging sightseeing tours and such. But if you're looking for a quiet hotel in south Delhi, I would certainly recommend Jorbagh 27.

I appreciated the "original" and the little bit old fashioned style. At this place you can really experience the Delhi-feeling. It was good to have a room on the ground, to be able to walk out on the lawn or just sit at the veranda in the evening. The staff, in spite of not speaking that much English, was polite, nice and very service minded. I asked if it was possible to get some fruits - and two minutes after the guy came back on the bike with apples! If needed they wash your laundry for a very low price. Easy to walk to Lodhi Garden, Khan Market, IIC and India Habitat Centre. Auto rickshaw and taxi easy to fint; the hotel helps you if necessary. Jorbagh 27, a nice, secure place.
