Unlike most tourist hotels in India - you can get out and walk to local attractions. Very central to Connaught place. Room was small but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was decent - good selection of choices and of the 10-ish hotels I stayed in during our Indian trip - the bar was the best - admittedly not much competition. Would stay there again if I visited Dehli.

This hotel is very good and centrally located. Excellant ambients and well furnished. Food is tasty and attractive. Overall, this hotel offers a value for money. The staff and their attitude is very friendly and take care to ensure the guests are always comfortable. The front office staff members are very helpful and understanding. The hotel has good buffet spread for breakfast and dinner. In addition, there is a musical programme in the night during the dinner, a very happy environment. I am sure you will have a memorable experience, during your stay in Connaught.

My husband and I stayed at The Connaught twice during our five week Indian trip. This centrally located hotel is a great 'home away from home'. We found the atmosphere welcoming,staff friendly and professional and our room and bed very clean and comfortable. Although service in the dining room was a bit slow on occasions, the food was good and breakfasts were great. The musical group who entertained dinner guests on our last night in India had us spellbound. The beautiful clear haunting voice of the female singer was a farewell gift that will live with us always.

We stayed here for a night at the beginning of our tour of India, and then again for the last night before flying home. We had a different room during our second stay. The hotel is conveniently located, but is in need of a refurbishment. The rooms are quite small and not terribly brightly decorated. The bathrooms are very small. The public areas are, on the whole okay, but the carpets in the corridors seriously need cleaning - or more likely replacing - as they were filthy. (This was the same on the the floors we stayed on).

The only thing to report was that the front desk staff seemed too busy to attend to customers properly. On our final day, as we were checking out to catch our flight, they made us wait in reception whilst they went to our room to check our mini-bar as they obvisouly didn't believe we hadn't had anything.

So, in summary, if you want somewhere convenient to stay as a brief stop-over, this would probably be okay. If your visit is longer than that, I'd look elsewhere.
