Hotel Ashok in the heart of New Delhi is wonderfully located in a super posh location, even the hotel itself doesn't look too bad and has some tastefully done bits for decoration. Rooms are a decent size too. However, food is terrible, I ordered for a Chicken Biryani as I was famished and I kid you not, if I had been any less hungry I would've sent it back - not sure in exchange for what though.
Staff is also far less courteous than they should be and this includes people at the front desk.
Complimentary breakfast the next morning was also as bad with very slow service in case you order for eggs.
However, it is quite a reasonable hotel and has complimentary wi-fi and breakfast.

Well the best way I can express my feeling here .. its conflicted ... so this is the best way to list a review for this hotel

Stayed here at beginning and end of our India Trip. First room was not renovated but clean, small double bed. Second room was renovated, much more comfortable.
Food was ok in the buffet but not kept very warm.
Staff at reception seemed overwhelmed. Did not try pool.
So ok for a night or two.

We went to dinner at the non-veg restaurant here. It was not cheap but the food was inedible. The staff made no effort to try to get us something more to our liking. To top it off, it made me sick.
