We booked on line for around $13 and paid a $2 deposit through Lonely Planet. We owed 585 rupees on arrival. They wanted to charge us 1,200rs and kept giving us a hard time about the price. The owner finally got involved and asked me where I booked it for that price. I told them "Lonely Planet" and that changed everything. They honoured the price and didn't argue any more. The restaurant across the road has underneath the name of the restaurant name "As advertised in Lonely Planet" so I think that they want to keep a good name with that link. At 3:30am someone came knocking on our door and asked us for our passports of which they had already photo-copied upon arrival. I told them to get lost. There were 2 boarded up windows in our room. I had to sit on the toilet sideways as the bowl was about 4 inched from the wall. They did seem to be helpful though.

We stayed there couple of nights when we arrived in India and then couple of nights when we left India. At the first time we took luxury rooms which were really quite basic rooms with nothing fancy, but they were quite clean and without bugs. Only negative thing was that someone should have picked us up from airport but there wasn't driver waiting for us. It was really cold in Delhi and the rooms were a bit chilly but there were woolen shawls to keep you warm. For the last two nights we booked a suite which had a heater too. The rooftop restaurant was nice and the food was good. Also you can order chai from almost anytime of the day to your room. Location is also good, but the main bazaar can be a bit noisy even at nights.

We booked over the internet and the rooms looked like the one on here.... IT WAS NOT! It was a room with a small window into the hallway which was noisy and had a constant light on. Luckily we only stayed 2 nights!
On the plus side good location.

Stayed here as a last minute option as it was the cheapest hotel on a reservation website. I guess it was a good deal but we have got much better ones in other places during our trip in india. Room was clean bathroom too. Tv worked. Internet is expensive though 200 rps for 24 wifi in your room (other places i got for free and paying half the amount for a night stay) room service was good at late hours. The only flaws lack of hot water, and slow check-in at 5:00am when you just want to go to sleep after a sleepless night on a bus. Recommended as a short trip in delhi option.
