“Wonderful hotel. Excellent food - Expensive though!”

Stayed 2 nights at the ITC Maurya on my way in and out of India to London. The first night was in the club tower and on the return in the Maurya suites.

Service is excellent, 5 star Indian standards, including a few lovely touches like a laundry voucher for 2 garments, unlimited free bottled water etc.

The tower room was much smaller than the Maurya suite. But rooms in the tower allow you access to the tower club room. Breakfast is served at the tower club room (which I did not try as I much prefer the unlimited spread at the Pavillion) There's free coffee and tea through the day in the tower club room and free cocktails and snacks for a few hours each evening.

Lift to the rooms in both buildings can only be accessed by a key card.

Eating at the ITC Maurya is expensive for Delhi standards. A simple meal for 2 will cost upwards of Rs3000. Food at Bukhara, West View Grill and Dakshin is excellent, but also very expensive.

The complimentary breakfast buffet at the Pavillion is excellent. There must be over 100 items on the menu. Sadly I could not do full justice to breakfast during either stay because of a 9am and 5am flight.

Toiletries are very good quality of ITC's own brands Fiama Di Wills and a men's range - Aqua.

The Maurya suite has a dressing room and a little corridor and the bedroom itself is twice the size of the tower rooms. Curtains are excellent and allow you to sleep through the day without any sunlight getting in. The pool looked lovely and welcoming, but the bed won the battle as we were exhausted with the hectic travel.

They have a currency exchange counter if you need to convert foreign currency to INR but not the other way around.

Plenty of stores on the ground floor, including a Wills Lifestyle store and another from which you can buy "Kitchens of India" ready to eat food to carry home.

A water heater and a French press with coffee and tea making facilities is provided in each room. There were complimentary brownies and biscuits and fruit in our room each time.

The suite had an ironing board and iron in the closet. Hairdryers too.

Its very close to the airport and that worked well for us on this trip.

“You have to experience Delhi being a Mauryian!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2011

Have visited this hotel many times for a meal on my trips to Delhi and stayed here recently for attending a wedding. The stay in this Hotel was a great experience! I'm short of words to explain the spirit of this Hotel. If I wishes could come true I would like to live in this Hotel for every visit of mine to Delhi! The Staff is excellent goes the extra mile on every little guest to wow you! You will feel special staying here and it will surely be a sheer delightful experience. Their Indian food is the best in the country, I doubt if there chefs ever leave them. Its a saying at the Hotel that if you are a visitor to Delhi and if you leave without experiencing Bukhara(North Indian Restaurant) that trip is incomplete! Though another favourite of mine is Dumpukth! The Kakori Kebabs are unmatched! If Mobil ratings were done in India, then these restaurants would be the first few they would visit and list! Best of luck to all of them on the show they put up! It is also the first choice Hotel in Delhi for top VIPs, I'm amazed to know who all have stayed here! They even have a Bill Gates suite! Maybe they even have a Bill Clinton Suite with the amount of times he has stayed here. It is surely a Hotel and an experience which is truly aspirational!

Room Tip: I stayed in a Luxury room which was huge! But their suites are excellent as well as their ITC One ro...

“Extravagant Indian Service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 September 2011 via mobile

Great service and plenty of restaurants to choose from in the hotel. Housecleaning and laundry services were very prompt. Both had less than 10minutes response to your door. On a one off happening, it was a little annoying that one morning the phone rang twice as if it was a wakeup call that was not asked for. The room we got at the Tower was a bit small and not worth the rate paid for. That being said I must note that the location area of the hotel is at a pricey location.

“Hotel in Delhi”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 September 2011

One of the finest places to stay in Delhi. The Club One rooms are simply classy & the decor fantastic. In room facilities also above par. Size of rooms just perfect. The work facilities in room are just whatI needed for my business travel.
To top it all, was the health club & the spa. I have had one of the best massages there at the spa.

Room Tip: Always ask for the Club One rooms which are in a seperate wing called the Towers, these are newer ro...

“Loved to be here, been trated like Princes”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 September 2011

It was wedding of my friend and we visited this Hotel, Though i am in Delhi since 2007 but never get an opportunity to visit this place before, Since retuals were so often for two days he didnt allow us to stay home and booked a room for my family. I must say banquet was really looking like a palace of a king.

Great menu, amazing varieties and superlike taste and world class avenue. Staff was very supportive, wedding day its saloon was overbooked but being we were staying there they organized special services for us to get ready for the wedding. I can not forget this wedding not only because of my friend’s gratitude but the place and arrangements also.

Once during our stay we tried its restaurant food Bukhara, its Dal & Nan was ultimate, no one can beat its taste, and wonder was we have to eat by our fingers only, they will not serve spoons and fork to have food. It brings a real Indian Culture.

I will always prefer to book this hotel for my personal events also.
