Terrible hotel!! It was a try hard deluxe hotel located in a very shifty back alley of Delhi near Connaught Place. Terrible place to stay if you want to sleep soundly, impossible to get out of even in low traffic times of the day. Rooms were modern in design however very run down for a hotel that is supposedly new. Bathrooms were dirty, hot water ran out at night and bathrooms were heavily under supplied. One plus for the bathrooms was the very good multi-jet shower. Rooms had no windows or ventilation. Breakfast is not even worth speaking about. Construction and traffic noise all night long! We were supposed to stay here for 4 nights but decided that we would be checking out after the first night as soon as we stepped into the hotel. Would not recommend this hotel unless you were going for a backpackers trip.

Overall Indian hotels are not very good but actually the Godwin provides nice quiet rooms with modern facilities, good staff and a good restaurant which is open all the time. The neighbourhood looks like a post apocolyptic nightmare but there are many other hotels here, it is safe and it is close to Connaught Place and other sites so it is actually a good location. Cabs and tuk-tuks are easy to get. Beds are comfortable, rooms are a good size, everything including the curtains are operated but push button controls and there is working wifi. It is heated in the winter as well as air conditioned other times.

This is in fact a very good hotel in the middle of sort of trash neighbourhood.
However the area only feels unsafe from the first look but there is no agression or real danger in it - just a mess. The personnel was very helpful, the room was quite clean and modern looking and although mine was the street side not much noise came through. Breakfast buffet had excellent selection and seemed to vary every day.
Of course be prepared for the funny indian style jokes, like you are told in the email that the pick up driver would be waiting for you at Gate 5, but for some reason he decides to pick you up at Gate 2... Or you have this luxury shower cabin in the bathroom but the water may come all over the place from underneath the cabin... Or you have these sophisticated led lit light switches in the room but most of them are only lit with the lights on and not vice versa! :)) Or you get the airport drop off price fixed for you in the confirmation email but when it comes to booking a drop off taxi they would tell you that the price had changed from yesterday, so you need to be firm and show them you email! :)
But if such minor things just make you laugh and don't spoil your day the hotel is an excellent value for money! Recommend to everybody!

This Hotel is Good Value, we had 2 Executive Deluxe rooms, and 1 of them was away from street side so no noise issues, don't go for area or views, this is a city hotel in a busy location, we didn't care about area as we had our own Car/ Driver, they dont have secure parking as such but are helpful in organising parking close to Hotel. The rooms are of exceptional quality in terms of fascilities. Breakfast was very good and they served Omlette and Dosa to order and had a good Buffet selection. We had 2 evening meals in the Restaurant and this was of a high standard also. I would recommend this hotel, the front Desk Manager Sanjay is very helpful.
