We visited New Delhi over the New Year 2010. The location is very central. It is also on a gated golf course property which seemed to us quiet in comparison to most accomodations central to the city. Rooms were nothing fancy but we thought clean and comfortable. We would most definitely stay here again as the price is certainly right for us.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. It is nicely located in a quiet gated communiity quite close to New Delhi and Lodi Gardens. Rooms are smallish and the bathrooms are not very modern. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is just OK. No restaurant but you can order food from an excellent Indian restaurant nearby and staff help with the china and cutlery. Outdoor seating is beautiful.

We had somehow high expectations from this hotel, reviewed in the Sawday guide. We paid 95 euro/night for an ordinary room quite dirty and very low cleaning standards. The breakfast was quite disappointing. The location was good, in the exclusive golf links, and the staff was finally helpful even if not always irreproachable.

I liked this place so much I was ambivalent about telling other people about it, but my conscience has happily won out.

Ahuja Residency is located in a very fine neighborhood in Delhi, if not its best then one of them. It is a private house (or two) refitted as tourist lodgings, and very well-kept, well-decorated, and nicely run.

My room reminded me of a room in a nice European hotel, with attractive and sophisticated furniture with a kind of mid-century look.

The location was spectacular for me, as it is in easy walking distance of Khan Market, a charming small shopping area, I think Delhi's best place for bookstores, as well as nice cafes, restaurants, and some opportunities for serious women's shopping - if I recall right, there's an Anokhi and a FabIndia, as well as high-end-
ish sari shops.

I was just there for 2 nights, and I liked it so much I decided not to even try to see the rest of Delhi, so I had the pleasures (for me) of making myself slightly at home in a cafe and taking my time to just experience a nice corner of a giant city.

It's also very near a Taj or an Oberoi, I forget which, where if you cared to you could spend plenty of time dining and lounging about -- I went once for a lavish and coddling overpriced breakfast.
