Front desk was more interested in txting than assisting me with my check in, building was nasty, room is small, and not sure what the huge stain on the desk chair was, don't waste your time!

This hotel was nothing like the pictures or past reviews. The room was small (expected) and clean, but old. The rest of the building was dingy, run-down. The family that manages/owns it must live there because the whole family was eating their dinner in the breakfast area in the evening. The smell of their dinner travelled the hallways. I could never get the wifi to work and the front desk was of little help. Free breakfast was adequate. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

My son & I drove TWELVE HOURS down to VOLUNTEER for our Memorial Day weekend. We had booked 3 days on the internet, but checked out a day early, at 9:30 a.m. I was told that I could not get a receipt due to the internet booking. Got my bill & was charged the full 3 days. I have a receipt from another hotel in Kentucky for the same night. Imagine that. Do not use these HORRIBLE PEOPLE

We had 2 rooms, my room had the worst bed I've ever slept on, I'm thinking a 2 X 4 would have been more comfortable. Also, if anyone is reading this, please bring your own pillow, theirs are terrible. The second room we got for our guests had no air conditioner, the south with no air conditioner, hard to believe but true. We complained about the air and not one finger was lifted to assist us. They have no hospitality at this Microtel! The only person that was nice was the front desk clerk, no one else knew a lick of english. Please find another place to stay or sleep in your car, you'll be glad you did.
