My son & I drove TWELVE HOURS down to VOLUNTEER for our Memorial Day weekend. We had booked 3 days on the internet, but checked out a day early, at 9:30 a.m. I was told that I could not get a receipt due to the internet booking. Got my bill & was charged the full 3 days. I have a receipt from another hotel in Kentucky for the same night. Imagine that. Do not use these HORRIBLE PEOPLE

We had 2 rooms, my room had the worst bed I've ever slept on, I'm thinking a 2 X 4 would have been more comfortable. Also, if anyone is reading this, please bring your own pillow, theirs are terrible. The second room we got for our guests had no air conditioner, the south with no air conditioner, hard to believe but true. We complained about the air and not one finger was lifted to assist us. They have no hospitality at this Microtel! The only person that was nice was the front desk clerk, no one else knew a lick of english. Please find another place to stay or sleep in your car, you'll be glad you did.

A no-frills motel that is a good price for the area. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed that I have ever tried to sleep on. Of course, there was not a lot of sleeping as the
air conditioner would kick on every few minutes and wake up the dead. The luxurious
continental breakfast consisted of prepackaged muffins like Little Debbies and
a couple of brands of cereal. The only way I would stay in this place again is if
it was the absolute last motel in the area with the only bed available for that night.

We stay here every trip to North Carolina. The staff really goes out of there way, it is clean and close - walking distance to many restaurants.
