“Perfection”

My fiance and I decided to go back to Al Natural after 4 years. We thought it would be great to bring our family and friends this time. As we got more and more frustrated with our wedding planning in NY, we both agreed that we should just have out wedding at Al Natural on New Year's Eve since we were planning on going anyway. When we say that it was the best vacation of our lives, we are not exaggerating. Al Natural was as fantastic as we remembered it and we can't put into words how special and perfect the wedding was. The staff there became like family to all of our guests. We didn't want to leave. The only way to describe Al Natural is "paradise." The food is heavenly, the setting is amazing, the staff are wonderful and the accomodations are gorgeous. It will blow your mind.

Room Tip: Each bungalow is unique and has incredible character.

Shed your city skin and get Al Natural.
Someone has taken the risk and combined a hotel with the natural surrounding elements and the results are superb
The Trip over to AL Natural is a great lead up to what is in store smooth glassy waters and pink sky- dependant on the time you are travelling…..
The bungalows are blended in with the trees along the shoreline so quite private. Each one looks out over the beach with low walls and open front
Walking to your hut armies of crabs giving you a group Mexican wave on the way. Out the front of each hut is warm water to snorkel , float or have Little fish nip and massage at your skin. I arrived in the evening and went straight to the main dining area which is candle lit and had a fantastic cocktail which was followed by a sit down tree course meal sat with all the rest of the guests, which was amazing. Every night the menu was different, mainly fresh seafood, red snapper carpaccio, fresh tuna curry and fresh fruit desserts every night. After dinner you can swim in the plankton off the jetty and look at the stars. If your are lucky you might also see Night monkeys. At night it can be stormy and its great to watch this from you bed over the water.
The day trips here are great too. Dolphin bay was fantastic- it was as if the dolphins put on a private show for us- we saw maybe 10, Coral Cay looks as if someone has gone crazy with colorful icing under water, the local village tour was interesting, cute local necklaces and wooden animals to buy and the Zapatilla Islands you will find that holiday blue green clear water you imagine. The other option is to lay in your hammock all day and read a book or sleep, Kayak and Snorkel in the area out the front, explore the surrounds, there are georgous shells all over the place, watch the rays glide past in the shallows or the fish jumping out of the water, Really magical place. The food was really amazing and interesting and more than enough. I felt full all the time, so I don’t understand how people wanted more. If air conditioning, television and room service are important to you this is not the right place for you, if you can let go and really relax this place is fantastic, you will also meet some very interesting people here- people from all round the world. Martin is a fantastic host, so friendly, nothing is a problem to him and Vincent a great chef. The rooms are all individual and unusua, a lot of care taken with each one, staff fantastic and cleaned well everyday
I absolutely loved this place, completely unique
Thank you Al Natural

“Paradise!”

My new husband I stayed here for four nights on our honeymoon. We were a little apprehensive after reading some negative reviews but we had a wonderful experience.

We opted for the all-inclusive deal, which includes 3 meals and 1 excursion every day, tourist tax, unlimited alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and use of snorkel equipment and kayaks. It was great to forget about money while we were there and it seemed to be a good deal. We went snorkeling and visited Dolphin Bay and Caya Zapatillas--all of which were just lovely! The day trips are somewhat dependent on the weather, which can be a bit rainy. We were able to go out every day but would have been totally content watching the rain over the ocean from our bungalow.

The meals were great. Fresh fruit, cereal, bread, eggs, and coffee for breakfast, a different lunch every day (followed by more coffee), and a gourmet 3-course meal for dinner. Martin, who lives on the island and manages Al Natural, makes sure that the food accommodates different tastes and allergies.

The setting was unreal--we saw phosphorescent plankton every night, a manta ray, beautiful birds and butterflies, and tiny lizards. The water is shallow and crystal clear, and there is no civilization in site. It was easy to unplug and relax.

We read on the website that guests need to bring beach towels and a flashlight--very true! I would also highly recommend bringing lots of strong sunscreen, bug repellent, a camera, spare batteries, and cigarettes (if you are a smoker). There is nowhere nearby to stock up on these things.

This is definitely not a posh resort where you can get a seaside massage and check your email in air conditioning. This is a very laid-back hotel made up of bungalows without full walls. That said, we had a considerable amount of privacy and loved waking up every morning in a king-sized bed overlooking the ocean. My husband and I have only been back for a few days but were are already planning our next visit.

“Nice location”

We enjoyed the location. The Hotel was okay but a little over priced in our opinion. Unfortunately not many choices in that area. Nice snorkeling on the reef and along the shore. Free use of their snorkeling equipment. Indian village not worth the hike. They do have kayaks for your use and if you purchase the all inclusive option a trip is included each day. No bartender or manager most nights when we were there although the owner did join us for dinner briefly each day. Not necessarily bad as we got to serve ourselves at the bar. Cold beer not always available as there is limited ice brought in each day. Food not great but not bad either.

“After 8 days there I didn't want to go home at all! This is Paradise!!!”

My husband and I wanted to run away from our busy Manhattan to the place where we could enjoy a beautiful nature and a great service. From the moment you get in Bocas del Toro you can forget worrying about all the organizational details. Everything has been thought through for you, for your convenience. They pick you up in the city and bring you to the island where the paradise vacation begins. The houses are very clean (they clean them every day). The nature is very beautiful! There are trails to the village and to the other side of the island. There are night monkeys on the island which can be fed by YOU! The personnel is very helpful, attentive and nice. Speaking about the food... the meals we ate were seriously among the best meals my husband and I ate in our lives. And we love eating regularly in very nice restaurants in Manhattan. So, Vincent and Martin are great chefs with a talent and great heart. You'll love these guys. They make you laugh and make you feel like a member of Al Natural family. There are diverse activities and adventures which you can do there: snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, canopy zip line, tours to the other islands, a tour in the village of native Indians, ping pong right to the building where we ate our meals. The place is very relaxing, beautiful, unique in a good way. If you decide to choose Al Natural, don't forget to enjoy every second there and make a lot of pictures to be able to remember a beautiful vacation on a beautiful island. Michel, the owner of the resort, was very friendly and nice to us. He helped us with advice what to do and where to go. My husband and I would love to thank Martin, Vincent, Michel and all the other personnel for our wonderful vacation! We'll come back for sure!
