Stayed at Costes for three nights right before the New Year's. Average accommodations ("superior" double bed room with bathroom), however highly overpriced. Hot water not working from the moment we arrived, notified the reception, were told that it would be fixed. Same thing next day, another promise that it will be fixed "whenever the guy would get here to do it". We only remained at the hotel because we had booked and paid 50% of the total price well in advance. Eventually the hot water heater was fixed two days later. Upon our departure, I asked for a discount given that it was confirmed to me that the room would have hot water. I was offered a $5 discount, which I found unacceptable given the price we payed for the room ($60 for first two days and $90 for third day - because of New Year's). When I asked for a more reasonable discount, I was told that I can chose to not pay anything, but she (the manager) would call the police! She eventually "proceeded" to call the police - it was all a show, she dialed some phone number and hung up quickly, in an attempt to intimidate us...When we stood our grounds she pulled another trick: started crying and left the reception, so another staff came to deal with us and we had to go through the entire story again. Funny enough, that staff left the reception as well (after reiterating that the police will be called - for asking for a discount?!), so a third staff came in and dealt with us. Eventually, they accepted our pay with a more reasonable discount, after over half an hour of intimidation attempts and threats with calling the police. Do yourself a favour and choose a different place for your own peace of mind!
