We had a great room with our own balcony, bathroom, and fans to keep us cool. We were close to stores, restaurants, Bocas Yoga, and the water. We paid $40 a night for two people and the bed was very comfortable. It was safe, had night staff, and was fuss; I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We stayed here for three nights. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. The rooms in front have great view and balcony where you relax until late. The restaurant offers flexibility in breakfast and dinner, all fresh. However dinner is better in town, in terms of sociability and choice. They also have 2 parrots in a cage, which we found quite annoying. Location is good. Not in the middle of the centre but on walking distance (2 minutes). The owners should be a little more involved with their guests. However Bocas is a great town and you can arrange every tour in town or rent some bikes to cross the island. Casa max is a good place to stay.

Found it after escaping a dark, dingy hostel and was too tired to keep lugging all my carp around. 20 bucks for my own room during slow season. Nice mattresses, clean enough. Guess "enough" is the key word for this place. Indonesian-inspired menu was yummy enough, service was swell enough, place was comfortable enough and then after a day, I had enough. So farewell.

It's good, but Bocas has numerous options so shop around before committing.

Nice clean rooms, cool old building, friendly staff, decent food at restaurant. Cool parrot. Great little cafe in the camper across the street. Close to a couple good bars but not loud.

No complaints whatsoever.
