Excellent reception, lounge, bar and restaurant but the rooms could do with a refurb to match up to the surroundings! Rooms were a little small but had the necessary amenities. There was a good selection of food for dinner and breakfast and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is reasonably small and has a small pool with a great view of the rock. Overall we had a good, relaxing stay and would stay there again.

We took 3 rooms for 1 night here with my family and were very happy. The rooms were very pleasant and the level of service excellent. The restaurant is very good value with a wide choice.

Wonderful hotel with spectacular views of the rock from the pool area. Food was the best we had in Sri Lanka! Each night and morning there was a tasty buffet of a wide range of cuisines including local delicacies. The large comfortable room had appealing decor and we liked that it was single story with large open grounds. Excellent.

I think the most have been written about this hotel already. We stayed there for 3 nights in January 2012 and was pleased with our stay. The room was clean, had a couple of bottles of free drinking water and a minibar/fridge, and not to forget an electric mosquito killer that actually worked.
The bar area provided a splendid view over the pool with Sigiriya Rock in the background as quite a few of the photos here are showing.
The food was varied and generally good.
We have experienced some times at places like this they make a choise of Western food that is completely tasteless. That was partially true also here. Fortunately they also had a good choise of Sri Lankan food that tasted very good.
One of the nights the water in the pool looked not clean at all, but the next night it looked nice and clear. I guess they may have had a temporary problem with the filtering equipment.
The hotel consists of low buildings almost hidden in the wood, so birds, monkeys and other animals roamed the area.
The staff was nice and attentive. We can safely recommend this hotel to others.
