Nice rooms, great gounds. Pool was ok and it seemed the majority of the staff were quite friendly courteous. The food at the buffet was quite good but the standard fare for this type of hotle in sri lanka and could have had a bit more flare for the price. Beer prices were reasonable at the bar but the spirits are 20ml pours and about $4+ A long island ice tea that tasted like cola for $12! Needs some small improvements to bring it up to an excellent rating. Great location, close to the rock. Grab some cheap alcohol coming through duty free and enjoy it in the grounds.

The hotel lobby and grounds are really nice. The rooms were not bad, not great, i thought the food was quite good. Location is great close to the rock. Service is so so, my friend complained about a drink he ordered, could have been solved very easily instead they were stubborn about it, a better hotel would have known to just re-make it and then everyone is happy.

If you come here i think you will quite like it, it is a good 4 star hotel, but price is not that cheap, you might be able to find something a little nicer at a similar price.

One Word " Wonderful"! Thats how I would rate the stay there. The staff were courteous enough. The ambience was inviting. The dining experience was good enough. The place was very neat and clean. The rooms were exquisite for the price and albeit for a slight issue with the hot water facility, the bathrooms were also pretty good. Great location for a hotel but I must warn you that food is very expensive and there are not much options around. Also never every order for "Spicy" version of the items on the menu. Its suicide and unfortunately I fell for it. But I learnt quickly enough. Overall a very pleasant experience! Will definitely be going a second time!

This is a great location if you intend to climb the rock as it is very close (which also gives you excellent views of it from the pool).

Food was quite good, with most of the produce grown on site. Staff were also very friendly and helpful - one of the young chefs even cooked me some fresh pol (coconut) roti and had it delivered to my table as he didn't want me to have to eat the ones that had been sitting out for a while!

Rooms are a little dated and if you are fussy about having a modern bathroom then you should not stay here!! Otherwise, they did the job.
