“Make sure you opt for a 'deluxe superior'!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012 via mobile

Echoing many of the sentiments already given by others regarding the rooms especially the damp smell, I would suggest that whilst this hotel may have undergone a recent overhaul to its setup, there is still someway to go. However, we appreciate that the translation of '5 star' may differ from place to place and our two days there were a great base point for our daytime activities. Make sure you select a superior deluxe room; anything less may not be worth the bill - a jaccusi without a plug is really only a haven for mosquitos!

“Delightful Boutique hotel.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

This hotel is beautiful, a haven to come home to. It is a modern design which is an oasis of tranquility in a bustling country.
The staff are also delightful as was the food.
In all a perfect place to stay whilst taking day trips out to the Cultural triangle.

“Great hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 February 2012

The rooms were very new, modern design with nice touches inside, bathrooms huge and nice spa in inside. Most importantly, the grounds of the hotel were beautiful, with their own crops and even a cricket ground. Food was good without being anything special, but drinks were all reasonable priced as well. Would recommend this hotel. It is more boutique style, a good 4 star resort with friendly and helpful staff.

“Good value for money, amazing pool and grounds.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 February 2012

We had arrived here tired after a long day of sightseeing, we were greeted warmly by the staff and refreshed with cool, wet face towels, free foot massage vouchers and a freshly squeezed juice whilst we checked in (nice touch). You immediately notice the funky bar area and long pool which are all integrated into the lobby area. The room was big, clean, a/c, fan and jacuzzi, all awesome after a long day of travelling. The staff were great the entire time, there were obviously a few younger trainee staff that lacked the professionalism of their superiors but it all ran quite smoothly. The grounds are amazing. Food was good but not great (same as most places) and drinks prices were very affordable for beer, spirits and even bottles of wine. Don't think this place is 5 star, it simply isn't close, but it is great value and very refreshing for the price.

Room Tip: All good, but I guess the the closer you are to the pool/bar, the less distance you have to walk to...

“Beautiful place but our room smelled! Miss sold wine too”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

This place is heavenly, beautiful gardens, pool, buildings and setting. Ultra modern with fabulous long pool which ends into the reception area. Set within their own mango orchard, paddy fields and veg plots.

Offered free 10minute massage voucher each on arrival for the spa. One of us used this whilst one paid for back and shoulder massage, was fab.

The rooms are huge, massive beds, enormous bathrooms with wet area and jacuzzi bath. Safe, tv, fridge, air con, fan.

Dinner was the usual buffet style with Sri Lankan curry, rice etc.
Breakfast was also the usual buffet style.

Bar area lovely but be careful. The piña colada appeared to come out of a packet and a southern comfort order came as Pernod!

We stayed just one night as part of a tour.

The only issue here was that room smelled of body odour which was very off putting.
