“Large complex, great for the beach.”

Stayed here in October for one night on route to Podgorica. It's a large holiday complex which stretches down to the beach and restaraunts. Rooms are ok, fairly basic but for the price you are paying they were adequate. Didn't eat breakfast so can't comment on the food, but location is great - straight down to the beach with bars on tap. Two large pools, one specifically for children, the other pool was saltwater so beware of that when jumping in.
Overall, it could do with a little more TLC but it was hardly expensive so happy enough.

“Excellent value, great location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2011

We stayed at the Slovenska Plaza in October 2011 for one night. We were en route from Tirana Albania, to Podgorica Montenegro where we were heading for the Montenegro vs England football (soccer) international match. We had read all the reviews on Tripadvisor, & despite some of the negative reviews we decided that the location & the value were too good to miss.

I'm glad we made this decision!

We arrived by car. Simply follow the main road through Budva & it's on the sea side of the road. Simple. There is a barrier operated car park. Simply drive in & take the paper ticket. 24 hour parking worked out at 4 Euros. I can pay that for 30 minutes in London! The car park has shaded parking if required (the shade provided by solar panels - nice eco-thinking Slovenska Plaza).

Lobby / reception. Enormous! Quite classy looking with lots of marble. There were plenty of people coming & going, but we were dealt with relatively quickly. The staff spoke good English & knew what they were doing. Once checked in we were taken to our rooms on a golf buggy. Very entertaining. No tips required.

Rooms. The complex has a Spanish villa feel to it. Lots of individual buildings on 2 storeys, interconnected with wide walkways & vine covered pathways. we had a 3 bed room. The furniture was a little basic, but everything was very clean. Not many channels on the TV. The bathrooms had clearly been refurbished, & again, very clean. The shower was of the "drench the room" type, Not ideal for everyone, but fine for us. The room had a kitchen section, that had a fridge, hob, sink, & plenty of cooking equipment. The balcony was very spacious, with plastic furniture. As one of the closest hotels to the sea in Budva, then this was a nice are to hang out. My only fault of the place was that the door out to the balcony didn't seem massively secure.

The complex. Plenty of facilities including supermarkets, a couple of restaurants, bars, a couple of swimming pools, travel agents, art gallery, & even a doctors & a dentist. Although out of season, most seemed to be open & operational.

Location. The best feature. A few metres to the beach. Plenty of beachfront restaurants & bars in this area. Only 10 minutes to the marina & the old town, without paying old town prices (plus we could park the car at our hotel).

Value for money. We couldn't fault this at 54 euros for the room for 3 of us. fantastic.

Overall, budget priced accommodation, but you get more than a budget feeling. Recommended.

Room Tip: Ask for sea view and refurbished bathroom. we got both.

“Quite decent place to stay in Budva”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 August 2011

I had experience with renting room in a villa in Budva and staying at this hotel. The hotel is reasonably priced and you shouldn’t really expect getting anything much beyond the regular services. The only sufficient drawback was a problem with using wi-fi internet. Didn’t get much help from the reception even when I tried to find in which room my friend was living that time. The room is fine with nice bathroom. Again, Montenegro is not really the place where you would pick up something extraordinary, neither with restaurants nor with accommodation (if not choosing for example Avala or Max Prestige, but they cost accordingly). Probably the only drawback is that the beach where it is close to (Slovenska Plaza beach) is the worst in Budva. I would highly recommend go to Mogren I or II (beach is much nicer, very clean water). It will take you around 20 min. by walk, but its worth it. I would recommend this hotel, as for price/quality it is definitely a good choice.

“Very nice place to stay with family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 16 August 2011

I was in Slovenska Plaza in July 2011 for 6 nights with my family a we were very happy at this hotel. The room was super clean, bathroom was recently renovated, very modern, big balcony. The swimming pools are great, with sea water, so you don't need to go to the beach if you have kids (they have trampoline, slides at the pool, a lot of fun for little ones). I only wish pools were opened longer, they close at seven. They should have one pool opened at night. Resort is great, no cars inside of resort, location can not be better, two minutes from the sea. The food was good (we had breakfast and dinner), service was great, they even asked my son if he would like mashed potato instead of boiled one, and they
made it for him. The quality of the food was good, we had great fish every night for dinner.
Staff in the hotel was very nice, they are helpful with giving you tips for the taxi to choose or some local attractions.
There are yoga and zumba classes at the pool every morning which
is really great to start day with. Every night they have theater play for kids at te pool.
Slovenska Plaza is a great place for it's three stars ( I hope they improve more and get four stars soon) and for the price that you pay.

“this hotel is terrible.”

to be honest I would not have recommended this hotel for several reasons.first hotel does not look as presented at the photographs.the photographs you have the feeling of luxury but it is not the way it is.Believe me, I was there.Photos do not show the dirt of the complex and pools.rooms are poor, service and food at the restaurant are also unsatisfactory. In restaurant you will see angry boses are just walking around and not doing anything usefull.and second it is too expensive for that kind of service
