We are a couple currently living in Bolivia and planned a three week Christmas vacation with our parents in the South of Peru using Trip Advisor as a guiding tool.
We stayed one night at La Maison Suisse before our flight over the Nazca Lines. They offer an attractive package deal for one night and the flight. The hotel is right across from the airport and about a 5 minutes taxi ride out of town. The sound from the planes is a bit bothersome during the day (not at night) but the hotel grounds are beautifully landscaped and the pool is a nice touch to relax after your early morning flight as you wait for your bus to your next destination. I would not spend a week in this hotel but as a one night stopover it was a convenient location for the flight and they pick you up at the bus station when you arrive.

We booked a hotel and flight package through Peru-hotels.com which seemed a good deal.

We arrived late in the evening on the bus and the hotel taxi was waiting for us at the bus station. The staff were very accommodating and made us dinner late at night.

The hotel is just opposite the runway so expect some early morning noise as the planes warm up. The benefit was that the hotel arranged the flight and you could wait at the hotel until it was time to go.

The hotel was set up to deal with people who were taking the early morning flights and then leaving later in the day. We enjoyed a relaxing few hours laying in the hammocks.

The room was simple but comfortable. The accommodation was motel style. The hotel has its own bar - measures were generous. There was also a pool.

Ideal for people passing through who want to do a flight over the Nazca lines.

Nazca and Our Experience at Le maison Suiza Hotel

I call the Office in Lima and they make the reservation for the HOtel and their Airline to overflight tha Nazca Lines.

We have a Suite and excelent breakfast also a very Good Pilot was a very good experience .

This was a very nice hotel; the people were very helpful. The hotel offers tours, which are pricier than the ones you would find downtown (about the same service). They also offer plane rides over the Nazca Lines. The Hotel charged us $50 (high season), but you can find them for less downtown. The laundry was expensive comparing to other hotels. The big problem I had with this hotel was that it charged us $5 per person to pick us up from the bus station when a taxi charges $1 (a 5 minute ride). I don't have a problem paying, but the hotel hired a taxi to pick us up. They don't have private transportation. They get to pay the taxi a dollar and pocket the rest of the money for doing nothing except maybe for making a phone call.
