We arrived late afternoon on Friday and left Saturday night. We were able to leave our bags and use the facilities Saturday even though we had already checked out. Pool and grounds are very nice and the staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean but could use a little updating but are still comfortable. Excellent location across from the bus offices and a short walk to the main square. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to fellow travelers.

This is a very clean, friendly hotel. The pool area is very relaxing. They could use some more comfortable lounge chairs. The staff were very helpful for booking tours. The travel agency next door booked the flight over the Nazca lines. The price for the room was very reasonable, I think it was $40.00 Canadian which included breakfast. The only drawback was the noise from some celebration that went on til 4:00 am and then the roosters started crowing. Try to stay on the north side of hotel if you stay there. Good location for just walking around the town.

The hotel is in a great location, near everything in town. The room was not so clean, beds were not so comfortable, bathroom was okay, breakfast could have been better. Service was good with staff that were helpful but they did not speak good English.

Three of us (husband, wife, son (14)) stayed at Hotel Alegria for 1 night in July 2010. It is very conveniently located, directly across the street from the main bus station so getting there and leaving was easy. The place looks nice, has a free internet PC and has a great swimming pool and dining area, but our room was very cramped, the beds were uncomfortable and there was a big hole in the bathroom wall through to the bathroom next door (luckily that room was empty). Breakfast was extremely meagre to say the least and we felt it was overpriced.

Not a great hotel and I wouldn't go back.
