Just returned from another work trip and this place seems to have got worse. The Bathroom appeared dirty with cracked tiles and some dubious stains on the wall around the toilet. There were hairs in the bath tub suggesting that cleaning is of a poor standard. Next to the bed was a wiring loom that had been wired into the back of the plug socket meaning that the socket plate was very loose on the wall (dangerous). Lamp shades on the lights were very dirty and stained and the overall appearance was extremely poor.
Maybe because of safety issues in Lagos this hotel has become complacent but it is definitely unlike any Sheraton that I have stayed in before. Overall the Hotel is tired and dated and is in desperate need of a complete refurb with rooms taking priority. Incidentally my room was on the 5th floor and the first thing that struck me when leaving the lift was the damp musty smell which seemed to be prominent throughout.
Working for an airline this is by far the worst Hotel I have stayed in and again because of the safety issues venturing out of the hotel (a no no) prices tend to be high because of its captive audience.
On a positive note generally the staff are pleasant and polite although upon check out a local man pushed in front of me and I was ignored by the receptionist.
Fortunately I don't have to visit here very often and if I choose to go to the bar for a drink with a couple of colleagues (as we did) I don't want hassle from ''ladies of the night''...
This hotel is a terrible and is not up to the Sheraton standard or name
