Booked on Feb 7th via email for 5 nights. First 2 nights were paid into their bank account on Feb 9th and I emailed them the deposit slip.
Arrived Feb 12th 9PM. They had no record of the payment. I handed over a hard copy of the deposit slip together with the reservation. Took 25 minutes to check-in. I kept asking if they couldn’t just give me the key and sort they paperwork outy without me standing there after a long flight. But no.
1:10AM there is noise at the door. The door opens but I have the chain on. Door closes again. I go out to see and can see 2 hotel guys in suits looking at some papers. Same time the phone rings but only once so I don’t pick up in time.
1:50AM the phone rings again. It is a guy apologizing that the maintenance people had mistakenly tried to enter my room earlier. I am very impressed at this point. What a top end hotel with maintenance guys wearing suits.
7:00AM there is a short but heavy rainfall. Water starts leaking from the A/C to the floor. Then another leak from the corner/wall to the floor. At breakfast I inform reception. However, sorry sir we don’t have rooms available to change.
