Stayed here at the end of rain season while climbing Volcano Concepcion. Shared a cabin that was very good value, but which had seen better days. Two nice bonuses outside: the trees were full of howler monkeys and at night there were lots of fireflies all around. Really makes you feel you are in an unusual setting. You can also walk to Ojo de Agua from here.
The beach was flooded so late in the rainy season, but still made for a very nice swim after the climb. A good deal of mosquitoes on shore, but they were mostly too bothered with the light bulbs of the house to annoy us. The food was OK, but nothing more. All in all, a decent place to hang out for a little while if you're not expecting luxury.
