“The great Sahara adventure!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 May 2011

We spent three enjoyable nights at Kasbah Mohayut. The rooms were clean and comfortably decorated in true Berber style. The staff was efficient and the cook staff prepared delicious meals. We especially enjoyed Hassan who made us laugh and went out of his way to make our stay perfect. We enjoyed relaxing at the pool and looking at the stars from the terrace. Mohammed was the perfect host. His tour of the area was exceptional. We especially enjoyed eating Berber Pizza at his family's home. The camel ride to see the sunrise over the red Sahara sands was an experience we will never forget.

“A highlight of our time in Morocco”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 May 2011

This is a very nice place to stay in the desert. The room was comfortable, the courtyards and common areas were very good, the food was excellent, and the service from Moha and the staff was warm and hospitable. The camel ride and stay in the tents in the dunes was spectacular.

“desert oasis”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 April 2011

We found a friendly desert oasis at Kasbah Mohayut...we were greeted by Mohammed and his funny and gracious staff...we were impressed with the accomadations on the edge of the sand dunes...we had a beautifully decorated room with a nice bed to rest after the dromedary ride to watch the amazing sunset and then returned to eat a delicious and healthy buffet in the beautiful outside gardens of the Kasbah...we cannot say enough good things about this magical place..we left with a smile on our face and highly reccomend this place to anyone!

“Good hotel, at a great location if you like the desert.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 April 2011

Good hotel, nice room, comfy bed and good enough bathroom. The swimming pool is lovely after a day driving and a refreshing soda or orange juice is a bliss. The view is stunning from our roof terrace into the desert. At sunset we walked into the dunes to watch the sun go down and many others used quads, camels or organized treks for that but really, only a few yards into the dunes gives the same effect! Stars at night were magnificent, again from our roof terrace.
The food is good but there was no choice. You eat what they have and you might want to be quick with ordering wine. When I asked for a bottle they only had two chilled rose and that seemed it for the night !?

“your Lawence of Arabia experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 April 2011

It is hard to know which of the Kasbah's to pick - they all seem to do the same thing. We are glad we chose this one. The Kasbah is easy to find a few hundred meters off the tarmac - hard ground ordinary car is fine. The Kasbah is very nice, we had a fabulous lunch of salad and berber omlette, plus desert. We were give a room to use even though we were doing the dersert camp. 4pm is camel time!. We were there the same day as the group from Texas so when I say it rained for us too - it's the same day - I think it rias 2-3 times a year and we had one of those days. As we rode out to camp the wind blew hard and we certainly got a sense of the power of the desert. The camp was fine - not their fault it was a little damp!. Dinner was not as good as I had epected given the lunch we had had - or the breakfast the next day. A damp somewhat uncomfortable night was had then we awoke to clear sky, beautiful dawn, amber sand and our heart lifted. Breakfast back at the Kasbah was very good, the camels seem well cared for. If you were looking for a relaxed 'do nothing day' on your trip an extra day here would certainly work.
