Don't stay here. They say it's the best hotel in Chaouen. I can't imagine the worst. Living room is simply falling to pieces, old and dirty couches. The room is small and dark, with no view at all. The blanket is stiff, so old it is and please see the pictures for the small, dirty and filled with holes towels. Terrible pillows and our bed was in front of a window that led to the corridor, with no curtains, which meant that the light was on our faces for the whole night and there was nothing we could do about it. And the bathroom not only is small, but we took the worst and coldest shower ever: water was spilling everywhere so we had to deattach the end so there would be SOME water. getting out, cold bathroom, small, dirty gross towels. there's no internet in the room, only in the unconfortable lobby so we had to stay downstairs for it (in front of an opened staff room, "private" but very messy. downstairs it was terribly cold, it was impossible to stay, no heating besides ONE fireplace (and the lobby is quite big). we had to sit near it, with outside clothes to stand the cold, and to make matters worse there was a group there, and they were loud, screaming from the lobby to the rooms that were one or 2 floors up, and to use the internet near the fire we had to stand that. and for me the worst thing was that someone from the hotel passed by the lobby and offered some mint tea. it's common being offered tea everywhere, and when that happens, it's not charged, it's a cultural thing for moroccans. well, not only he offered, but as soon as he handed us the tea, instead of putting it in the bill, if they really need to charge it, he asked for the money right away. as if everyone went to the lobby for internet with money... such a rude gesture, I've never seen a hotel ask for money as soon as you purchase something, unless it's a very big hotel and filled with outside visitors. not the case. asking our room number would've been enough (leaving aside the fact that I think they didn;t need to charge for that). at lunchtime our guide took us to a restaurant and the food wasn't good, the service was unbearable, it took us hours to eat and have ordered 5 times water and the waiter didn't bring (and in the end it was billed). it took more than ONE HOUR for the food to arrive, and the restaurant was not busy. for our surprise, the restaurant included for dinner "in the hotel" was the same one, outside of the hotel. again it took us hours and this time we got water, and the water costed 20 dirhams. the water we didn't get at lunch it only costed 15...
