“Nice hotel, central location, warm and friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 January 2012

We stayed here with our two children for 2 nights. The hotel is in the centre of the village so ideal for exploring, and the staff were very helpful. The owner also owns a cafe on the corner of the main square. I asked where I could buy the traditional 'pasteles' or 'b'steeya's', he had his mother make some up specially for us ready for the following day.

The rooms are clean and well furnished with traditional morrocan furniture. The only problem was the heating was working very well and it was cold at night if you got out from under the covers (we went in winter). I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting chefchaouen.

“Lovely hotel in a beautiful town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 October 2011

This hotel is in a great location, right near the main square with good restaurants and shopping only a minute away. The waterfall is also only a 5-10 minute walk - uphill, of course, but well worth it.

The rooms are immaculate - not very big, but they have everything you need, including air conditioning and free wifi, beautifully decorated in the traditional Moroccan style with a good bathroom. The rooftop terrace is another great feature. Breakfast is included and served at the cafe associated with the hotel in the main square. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

There weren't any maps provided, but the staff were only too happy to offer directions and tips.

“Lovely, great located”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 August 2011

I stayed there for one night. The location is very good, just next to the Medina and the main square. There are some restaurants in the neighborhood.

The room was lovely furnished and comfortable. The hotel has great roof terrace. Breakfast was excellent in our opinion.
The service staff are great and helpful, not speaking English well though (but we were able to communicate).
As it is in the mountains, there was not much tourists in the city as well as in the hotel.

“Great town, great hotel, great staff.”

The staff are wonderful and relaxed. We didn't know if we wanted to stay an extra night or not and ended up checking out at 4PM, after they'd already cleaned the room and they were completely friendly and terrific. The rooms were charming and comfortable. The bathrooms are new and stylish and classy. The rooftop terrace and breakfast were the icing on the cake. I'm a huge fan. Oh - and the location is great too -- 100 feet from the main square, but quiet and peaceful.

“Great location, good service but horrible facilities”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 December 2010

We visited during winter thus it was cold and rainy.

The staff said the heating radiator would be turned on at night but it was not. Thus, we had to sleep in a freezing temperature and the blankets were certainly not sufficient.

That said, the housekeeping service was good as the housekeeping women cleaned our room to a good condition. They even packed our toiletries into our luggage for us when we left them in the toilet.

That said, the service staff do not speak much English thus it makes for hard communication. Nevertheless, they were helpful and gave us directions when we needed.

The hotel is also quite a good location from a touristy square with restaurants.
