“Resort in a city. Best place to have breakfast”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 December 2011

I like the sea view room. The restaurant provide good scenic view of the garden and the sea in the back ground in the morning especially. I like to take my time having breakfast while savouring the view. The restaurant ambience is great too - the decoration and all. This is the best feature of this hotel for me.
The pool is one of the best in Miri town, and can be crowded during school holidays. Must avoid this period if you want some peace.
It is the only hotel in Miri which provides prayer mat and 'sarong' for the Muslims to use for praying. The prayer times is provided as well on the desk. Due to the curvature shape of the building, do be careful about the direction of Kaabah ( Qiblat ) marker on the ceiling in the room. The error can be as much as 90 degrees.

Room Tip: Sea view and non-smoking

“Great for a one night stop!”

We chose to stay here as it was close to the airport and we were arriving fairly late with an early flight back out to Mulu.

The hotel was a little dated, however, the room was spacious and clean. The front desk girls were cheerful and helpful and check in was prompt and efficient.

The hotel offers a shuttle to the city and on the main strip there are plenty of places to eat. We ate at Mings cafe and the food was excellent.

The pool and facilities looked ok and the hotel looks out over the beach. The evening entertainment was - entertaining! worth popping in and having a dink or two!

This hotel is perfect for a quiet comfortable overnight stay in Miri

Room Tip: Facing the sea!

“Not recommended”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 September 2011

One night stay probable is ok, but do not expect too much, view is ok , however, hotel needs a make-over to maintain its quality.

First impression was ok when entered the room. Although, I witnessed lots of stains inside the bathtub and asked them to clean it up before riding van to city, but I didn't see big difference once I came back. TV didn't work well most of time even Hotel staff sent me a new one to use.

The tea pot was too dirty to use, I had to bring my instant noodles to downstairs and asked for boil water , however, some of hotel staffs were quite helpful, but not all of them. One lady in the front desk seemed to be unhappy when we complained about the cleanness of the bathtub. We didn't try to be picky about everything, what we asked was very basic things.

Transportation is absolutely a problem if you want to see the city , but shuttle service to city is available at hotel. Try to ride the shuttle instead of being ripped of by some of taxi drivers. One driver tried to charge us 3 riggie more and her reason was it is a high-class car, ridiculous. Of course, we didn't pay what she asked for in the end.

“Nice rooms, but transportation can be a problem”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 August 2011

We stayed there for 3 nights for diving trips in Miri.
Room is clean, pool is nice. Breakfast is typical Malaysia hotel buffet. Lot of choice, but not very tasty. But overall, it is a nice hotel and reasonalbly priced.
But since we did not have a car, transportation was a bit problem. It is close to marina bay to get to the boat, but still too far to walk with equipments. Taxis in Miri do not operate by meter. Within a city, it is either 15R or 20R which is outrageous for short distance. If you want to eat in town, you have to take taxi, so unless you are sharing with friends and family, it gets quite expensive. There is a shuttle service for the guests, but they run so infrequently that it never worked for our schedule.
But if you are staying in Miri only for a night, this place is perfectly okay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with ocean view. We didn't have it, but our friend had it.
