It's such a pity to see this place that has great potential but totally in a mess. Duta Hacienda is part of Palm Springs. The setback is you got to check-in at Palm Springs (near the guardhouse) and then drive to Duta Hacienda (it's about 2-3 minutes away only) but this is what the owners should have thought about in the first place. You can either provide shuttle for the guests or create a route directly from Palm Springs rather than driving out on the main road again to DH.

After checking in, we just took a look at the main clubhouse, where you got to go if you want to swim..again..you got to drive here from DH. To be honest, they have so many great ideas within that area...they have (or had) a caravan park where there are a number of caravans to be rented and stayed in. However, these are not in operation (which i have no idea why?). The pool is huge! which they added sand in...to be a sand pool? It looks ok but it may be a diffcult to maintain with the sand in the water. Even the children's playground is not properly maintained as they are showing the rusts and it could injure kids who plays here.

Now..after checking out the main clubhouse area, we went to our room. Surprisingly, it's clean. The bathroom was ok too except for the toilet where the flush wasn't working. As there's no phone in the room, there was no other way to contact maintenance (huh??). Room aircord was good..pretty cold and the shower is good too..good water pressure.

I think there's only a few blocks that are being used..and I noticed that further up there's incomplete blocks.

I am left to deduce that the owners/management had such great plans but either they ran out of money or they probably enjoyed the first part of the profit and then didn't bother looking after that.

This place would be good for those on a budget or going for seminar as there is a seminar hall.

even the location is a bit far from Teluk Kemang but the traffic is so clear not much jam. The room is in very good condition and very spasious but the surrounding really need a lot of improvement . . so many abandoned block which looks like spooky ghost town. The facilities (pools and cafe) are far away from the room and .. . please provide some kind of transportation to all the facilities. Please upgrade the cafe and also the pools.

good things - checking in & out smoothly, big room (superior) with one queen size. can easily accomodate family with 4-5 children. pool ok & relaxing but the 3 jacuzis under renovation or abandoned..

bad things - distance from pool. wallauweh...good for exercise..1.5km from room!!... got man-made riverview but not properly maintained. no nearby sundry shop or restaurant. had to travel few kms before reached Teluk kemang. Very scary surroundings especially at nights with abandoned "caravans". Breakfasts menu sucks. Only served fried rice n noodles with tea n coffee. No beach view at all!!

Suggestions - build more restaurants nearby. Engage shuttle bus or golf car for easy carrying patrons from place to another. (Especially from hotel to pool)

But at the end of the day, deserved the cheap price @ RM148 (should be RM168 plus RM20 petrol for cost of travelling inside the resort) haha...

First, the resort looks like about to run out of business, most of the building were abandoned. The room that i stay was quite far away from the lobby and the rest of the facilities, The surrounding were quiet and not so much guest around. At night, it's like a ghost resort, u hardly see people around there.

Second, as for the room, its quite roomy though there is NO phone in the room. Yes, u hear my right, u gotta use your own mobile phone to call out, Its so INCONVENIENT when u wanna call the front desk for service. Tab water (dirt/mud water)is horribly dirty, and the water heater is lousy.

Last, the service over there is freaking terrible, when i booked my room, it comes with a complementary breakfast which will sent to my room. Guess what, no breakfast given and i was told to wait for them to deliver the breakfast. After waited for1 hour plus still nothing, i give up. Damn, they can't even freaking provide the breakfast for 2 in 1 hour, they surely sucks! They didn't even honor what they advertised in their promotion, so why bother to include free complementary breakfast in their ads.

Overall, they deserve no star. If u have not experience the worst resort/hotel, this is the place for u.
