If this is one of the best hotels in town, I don't want to imagine the worst!

They promote the hotel as 4 star, but by European standards it's more like a 1 and a half star...where 1 star is for their restaurant.

The rooms are smelly and in urgent need for a total refurbishing.

The staff (except the ones in the restaurant) spoke very poor English and was not extremely friendly.

The best thing was the food in the restaurant where we had dinner twice (try the Libyan soup and the grilled meat/fish).

We paid 100 LYD ($ 75) per night, but $ 30 would be fairer price for this property.

This is my second visit to this Hotel. The rooms are comfortable. The food is good both in the Restaurant and the Coffee Shop. Rates are good compared to other hotals in the area. Staff are extremely pleasant and friendly and try to be as helpful as possible, even if there English is poor, it's still better than my Arabic

The hotel has been renovated not long ago and is still in good shape. Rooms are really big, with balconies offering nice sea view, airconditioned, well furnished. Bathrooms big and well equipped. TVs working but offering not too many satellite chanels. Restaurant offers descent lunch and dinner but breakfasts included in the price of the room are definitely too scarce.
Located on the beach Fadeel is a good choice in warm season which in Libya lasts from May till late November.
Even though it is a bit far from the city center, the taxi service in Benghazi is easily accesible and not expensive.
The price of the hotel is very moderate in the Western standards i.e. the equivalent of some 25-30 EUR for a night (when I stayed there in 2005).
