“Worst hotel we stayed in”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 July 2011

The most run down "resort" ever. The restaurant closed at 5pm, so you cant get anything to eat after that - and as its 10kms from town, its a long walk to get something to eat if you dont have your own vehicle. We had been upgraded!!! and the room was old, in need of renovating, and the outdoor bathroom was mould ridden. The ponds around were laden with mosquitos, and their dogs were very intimidating. The breakfast included was supplied by the cafe next door, who couldnt speak english and gave you no choice as to what you received. Very disappointing.

Room Tip: i dont think there is anything that could get you a decent room in this

“Lovely bungalows, personal service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 March 2010

I expected the hotel to be located in Pai itself, but it was located about 10 kilometers outside of town.

To us that was important, but was also the only negative about the hotel. Very nice bungalows, friendly service and willing to do something extra.

Would go there again, in spite of the distance to Pai.

“Its well worth a trip to Pai to simply relax and unwind in Bura Lumpai Resort.”

The resort is relatively new but the service, view, food and all aminities were fantastic. It's a short trip into Pai town/village with ample bars and restaurants to choose from. I'll be travelling again to Pai soon and I can say with no doubt that I'll be staying in Bura Lumpai Resort again :-) Happy days!!!

“Bura Lumpai translates basically " Place of Flowers beside the River Pai"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 May 2009

Well, Yes it is a beautiful Place of well maintained gardens and water features, this hotel/resort is situated on the banks of the river Pai on the foothills of the surrounding mountains, the Villas themselves are set around a small fishing lake with a nice size swimming pool.. The restaurant ' Pai Sapan' and coffee shop 'Coffee Tea Sapan' set between natural made interlinking walkway bridges, and are set in front of the resort beside the Double Bridges , 1 for the everyday traffic to pass to Pai town or Mae Hongson and the other has a more historical value, its actually the Old World War 2 Japanese bridge and they lay side by side with eachother, giving Bura Lumpai a good land mark or flag if you like.. so Sapan means Bridge, so its also known as the resort of bridges,. wel that would be my own feeling on it!!

Excellent place for Romantics love birds, families and every1 to enjoy, young and old, Bura Lumpai offers alot of Beauty and amenities and is certainly secluded away from noise and pollution, its mother natures baby, settled amongst natural wildlife and farm land, paddy fields etc.. The owners of Bura Lumpai all are in a greement that the resort should preserve nature and wildlife and is contionously planting new trees and plants, stocking fish in the lake and many ponds it has, and as they have told me and I have seen, its encouraging " The Birds and The Bees".

The rooms are very Northern Thaistyle and are very comfortable bedding, beautiful open -air bathrooms, jacuzzi etc..

The kids had plenty to do , swimming, fishing, cycling, walking, Wifi internetting, TV (every room has its own flat screen Tv Dvd player) and boating etc, and the staff were 1st class and enjoyed ours kids as if they were their own..

Bura Lumpai is situated 9km aprox from the small upcoming town of Pai, which is full of Arty, trendyand quaint restaurants, bars and cafe s with both thai and Western food..
An Artists paradise and Musicians alike, plenty for them to participate in..

Some beautiful waterfalls and fishing lakes etc to relax by.. and if you fancy a ride on an elephants back or white water rafting and a lot more.. Wow!!

Certainly I will be back to Pai and most certainly to Bura Lumpai.. 3 Thumbs up for this amazing place!!!
