We stayed at dreamhill and found it to be very basic and run down. No pressure in the shower (dribble) and fowl smells coming from the sewerage. Its not on the beach but on the hill so get use to walking up stairs. I found the staff to be arigant and try to take advantage of getting money out of you. Anyway to make an extra buck they will try it. The bed had springs poking out and the other one was a plank of ply is was that hard. If something is not working in your room tell them straight away because they will say that you broke it, and you will have to pay for it. Please just go somewhere else.

Just returned from a short trip to Thailand that included a five-day stay at Dream Hill to find that they had processed 2 x 50,000 Bt charges on one of our credit cards. We paid cash for our 300B room and also for the meals we had there (total of 2,820 Bt for a 5 day stay). We suspect that they either broke into our locked valuables bag that was held in reception or got the number and card details by taking an impression of the card through the nylon sides of the bag (believe me this does work, we have tested it ourselves). We were going to recommend the place for its quietness, sea breezes and hammocks but obviously not now.

I stayed in the cheapest cabin at Dream Hill. It cost me about 500 bahts (about 17 canadian dollars at that time) per night. There are new cabins which are nicer but are more expensive. This wooden cabin was extremely basic and was located close walking distance to the beach. It had a double bed with mosquito net (which wasn't needed as I encountered no mosquitos at all). There was a large electrical fan and a washroom with cold water shower. The staff speak english and are wonderful, friendly, very helpful. It was private, quiet and restful. There is a restaurant associated with the Dream Hill Resort and one can eat in an eating area near the office with the meals delivered a very short distance from the restaurant or one can eat at waters edge at the restaurant. There is a swimming pool. And there are scooters for rent. On the terrace outside the entrance is a bench, 2 chairs and little table. Close by are several resorts and all necessary shops and services.

The resort gardens and pool were the only manicured kept up part to the property. I stayed here for 6 days, never once was my room cleaned, I had to walk to the office daily for fresh towels and TP. My room had 2 queen size beds, one was as hard as they get, while the other was a box of springs covered with a sheet. Do not charge meals and drinks to your room always pay upfront or else you WILL be overcharge on checkout. I knew of this problem before hand, so I wrote down everything ordered and kept track, sure enough my bill at the end was aprox 900 baht over in incorrect charges. ( example - I would order the american breakfast for 140baht which comes with coffee and juice, but they would bill everything individually to increase the total to well over 240, this adds up over time!)
Do not go here if you have any kind of knee or hip injuries, the property is very difficult to get around because of uneven stairs not built to code. At some point one might have to use their hands to help get up and down the hillside. The view of the bay is nice, but there is no beach at the resort to enjoy, you have to go elsewhere. To leave on a positive note, the pool was nice. Personally the resort was overprice and not worth all the hiking!
