This resort have a nice location at the Klong Dao beach. Pool is very tiny and small.
Stayed in a 'seaview bungalow' which was fine.
The only drawback is that some of the bungalows is located very close to the mainroad. So some of the paradise feeling got lost as it sometimes felt like staying in the middle of the highway.
There are some cheap plastic chairs chairs outside each bungalow, and a hammock. Worked ok, but not very nice. Also very close to the bungalows on each sides, no privacy at all. Cleaning was ok and there was a fridge in the room. A/C worked and TV worked. Bathroom was ok, water pressure in shower poor.

Breakfast was good with 4-5 choices.
Restaurant is pricy but with good food. A little mart across the road with good prices.

English skills of the people worked here are poor. ( I mean bad )
Some of them do not able to communicate in english at all.


All in all i think this is OK value for money.
Would maybe go there again.

We booked this hotel after through booking.com, paying 2000THB per night. We were supposed to stay for 3 nights. The only good thing about this hotel is that it is on the beach.

When we arrived to check in, no one spoke or understood english, the receptionist (the only one who could speak english was at the airport at the time.

We wer shown to our room and it wasn't even the room we had booked back in October. They said that the one we had booked wasn't available until the following day. The room that they wanted us to stay in was very dirty, had a view of a broken shed and little insects crawling inside of the room.

We couldn't stay there - it was just too disgustingly dirty!! Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We left and walked down the road - ended up paying 2100THB per night to stay in the Andaman Lanta Resort which was absolutely briliant. It was so clean, had a beautiful pool, and a sea view. For that extra 100THB per night - it was definitely worth it.

We booked the two "beachfront bungalows" from internet a few weeks before we trevelled to Koh Lanta. Arriving to Ocean View Resort took our breathe away after being in busy Phuket. There was a very friendly family ( mom, dad and the daughter Elle ) who gave us a warm welcome to the hotel. We had the best two bungalows they had. Beautiful view and from the terrace just about 15 metres to the shore.
Rooms were spacious and clean, AC also worked well ( which I don´t take for granted in Thailand ). There was one power cut during our stay which blackened the whole village, but this hotel had their own generator which started to work in just 2 minutes after the power cut. Swimming pool was small but nice. The shore at just this location was a little bit rocky, so i could recommend swimming a little bit more north at the same beach, but you can walk there very easilly.
The restaurant and bar was on the beach. When the tide became too high they had to move the tables and chairs further from the ocean. Service all together was awesome, this is some of Thailands famous hospitality. The food was so good. In addition to traditional thai food they have some western dishes also. We stayed there for 4 nights, and at 3 nights we ate at this restaurant,.

There were people who really cared for us and always friendly and we almost felt we were part or their family.
One day we went diving and we told that to one guy at the restaurant in the morning; when we came back and during the night almost everyone of the staff knew we were diving today and asked how was our trip!
This place was way better than I expected by their own web page or any other recommendations. We had amazing days and nights just watching the ocean and sitting in the bar with nice music and enjoying the atmosphere.

We chose Ocean View because of a promotion they had on and had a very enjoyable and relaxing 2 night stay. Our room was a srandard with fan and was spacious and clean, although i would recommend paying a little extra for a/c as it was very hot. The staff were friendly and its a comfortable family run resort, with a nice pool area and lovely looking beach and pool side bungalows.

A great bonus was the attached bar, koala bar which has great food and an entertaining owner, which was a relief because the choices of resteraunts and bars is very limited. Sunset at koala bar over the sea is not to be missed on a clear evening!

Overall id recomend this hotel to anyone, families, couples and travellers like us.
