This place is located at the very southern end of Klong Dao beach, which is very beautiful and very quiet, almost deserted when we were there in April, so its the perfect get away. The sea is rocky immediately in front of the resort so you have tp walk for approx 1 minute for nice swimming.

The bungalows are very clean,with a nice big bathroom with a bath and a powerful shower(cold). The aircon worked great and the tv. There was also a couple of power cuts whilst we stayed here, but i think these affected all of Lanta.

The only downside of this resort was that there are hardly any options to eat out in the evening. The resort has its own restaurant which is ok but tended to be closed every night by 9pm!! and we stayed here mid April in 2007 which is still high season! The only other option to eat out(unless u get a cab to Saladan) is the Royal Lanta resort next door (2 min walk) which does serve terrific food at very reasonable prices.

I would highly recommend hiring a moped and touring this beautiful island, bikes are very cheap to hire and the roads are extremely quiet, which was perfect for novice bikers like us. Takes approx 1 hour to circle the entire island, obviously we stopped at numerous beaches and the amazing viewpoint restaurant(see pic) as well as lanta town so we made a full day of it.

Overall I would recommend ocean view for a short stay to completely get away from it all and to have a beautiful beach almost to yourself! I stayed for 5 nights which was enough, as there isn't much to do at night
