The location is excellent, but the customer service is a disgrace. I had to call a dive operator to confirm a pick-up time, but there was no phone available. The only phone I was offered was the resort owner's personal mobile, who happened to be in reception, and he demanded 20 THB - unbelievable! Upon checkout I was told that I hadn't paid for a range of meals I had eaten in the (fabulous) beach front restaurant, despite paying upon departure everytime. During a five night stay my room was not serviced once and I had to go and ask for toilet paper. The beach is awesome and all the accommodation is right on the beach - stay somewhere else but grab a meal in the beachfront restaurant and bar.

Purchased three nights in Krabi agency after being told that by hut was on the beach, sure there are some on the beach but we were shoved into a bungalo in th rear car park enjoying all the sights, sounds and dust of the staff coming and going.

When I asked to move I was told without any uncertainty, no. We got into an argument about price, I was charged far more than the rack rate. The room was dirty and in disrepair. Hey I know it was cheap but how about a sweep from time to time or the bathroom being cleaned a bit more thoroughly, or even the rubbish not being piled up outside my door.

I ditched the hotel after one night and moved next door, much better indeed.

And to all the other reviewers of this establishment who think that people like me leave bad reviews because I like being served on with a silver platter, you're wrong. It is all about a general standard of accommodation that you would expect from this type of hotel. Sure it is cheap and nasty, but should you just accept the poor condition for the fear of being labelled a snob? No, I say it like it is in the interest of the next person who stays there which is what this is all about.

Bungalow was dirty and shabby, shower was a joke, staff was not helpful and somehow rude (I asked if they had a map of the island, he said something to his mates, laughed and said 'beach here, no need map') Well, not the kind of service I got all over Thailand. Location was alright, restaurant ok at best.
Stayed only one night and moved to another Hotel with which I was pretty glad.

i have read some of the reviews..true is not a 5* hotel...well if u have the money go to pimalai, but still even the basic bungalows are ok...don't forget ur not in a cold country where u r about to spend alot of time indoors..ther's a porch with a hammock where u can just lay and be lazy savouring paradise...it took me couple of days to get used th enew environment..slept great without nothing crawling onto me.. my only visitor was a frog who was sometimes taking shower with me and a pair of giant cockroaches once found in the shower/toilet..but c'mon that is nature..nothing bit me in the 3 weeks i spent there..
the staff: nice pple i could say cool..a family run business... if ur nice to them they will be very nice to you.. i felt a very friendly atmosphere..and was treated more as a friend/guest ..the village is a tiny place with some restaurants, bars etc..very quiet and very friendly...
the nature is awesome...i recommend everybody tae their 4island tour plus many other tours around kantjang and the neighbouring small paradise islands
will i go back? im working my butt off to return to koh lanta and to thailand..would luv to find a job..and never ever return to EU and to the west in general.. really fell inlove with the place and its pple....
