We enjoyed our stay here. The beach was lovely and the swimming pool was clean. The buffet breakfast had a good variety and plenty of seating.
The rooms were spacious and cleaned everyday. They put water in our room each day which was free but the Singha water was not free. The only downfall was that we could not adjust the aircon. You either turn it on or off.
I found the restaurant was slightly expensive compared to other places.
The hotel was situated quite a way from the main town.You need to hire a moped or get a taxi to go into town where there are lots of stalls and restaurants.

We stayed here for two days whilst 'hopping' around some of the islands, we found the staff really lovely and helpful, rooms spacious and very clean... some of the best beds we slept on during the whole 3 weeks!

I have been many, many times in Thailand and to many hotels but this is the most disgusting hotel I have ever been to. Under the bed there was 3-4 cm dust, garbage, and guess what a condom(used) I`m not kidding.... The coffe cups was dirty, the bathroom was dirty even the brekfast was disgusting, the knife, fork, plates was not cleen, I can go on and on..... The staff was not very friendly. When we tryed to change hotel It took us 1/2 a day to come to an agreement with the staff for not staying with Lanta Palace Resort. We were several people traveling together and all the rooms was the same( we had booked 4 rooms) But we were not the only one who was dissatisfied with our stay, the same day we were cheking out 6 more rooms wanted to chek out for the same reasons we had (some sweedish and some italian people)... So nothing god to say about this hotel... And I`m never staying here again.....

Stayed with my parents for 4 days during the Easter Break at Lanta Palace Resort. We booked one beach front bungalow and one standard room. Rooms were ok, but old fashioned. The Restaurant was a mess, lack of basic English skills along with long waiting time hampered the experience, and we only ate there once. They shut off the power for the entire hotel several times every day, and especially in the mornings, so the air-con goes off and it's impossible to sleep. The location of the hotel is so so, a bit far from everything. There is not really much happening and better stay somewhere else if you like to have some life around you.

Plus side:
The mini bar is very cheap
The beach is good
The front office staff were also very pleasant and helpful.
7 eleven and also a very nice bakery with excellent cakes are just outside the gates.

This hotel would be a good option if money were invested in refurbishment of the rooms, the restaurant and English classes for the staff. I will not stay at this place next time I go to Lanta, better and more affordable places around!
