The Chaw ka cher is set in a beautiful tropical garden... Lush greens, sweet smelling flowers, and twinkly lights in the evening. The pool was tranquil and perfect for a dip anytime of the day! Our room was big with everything you needed... Loved the decor! Outside bathroom was awesome... Shower was like raindrops! However was not so keen on going to the toilet in the middle of the night! The robes and slippers in our wardrobe had been used before which was off putting! Location isn't very good, u need to hire a motorbike or get a taxi to wherever! Breakfast was just what u needed... a choice of bout 6 things. Staff were very friendly but did have some difficulties with language. The restaurant food wasn't great but ok. We stayed here because it was our Xmas treat! I loved my stay but think for what we payed I would expect more!

We spent 5 nights here and really enjoyed. The resort is very green and beautiful with nice, tranquil athmosphere. The bungalow was big and nicely furnished, with an exciting open-roof bathroom; before coming here I wasn't quite sure how it would work out, but it was great! The big rainwater shower was amazing and one morning I saw monkeys on the trees just outside the bathroom!
We were welcomed to the hotel very warmly and the service was good, even though there was sometimes a bit of a language barrier with the staff. The brakfast was ok, there could have been some more stuff to put on your toast, but the fruity pancakes the staff cooked you if asked, were yummy :) The pool area was beautiful and never crowded due to the small size of the resort.
Location is not so convenient, the resort is a bit far from everything, but on the other side, motorcycle rental from the front desk is easy and cheap and our bike worked like a dream. Also tuk tuks go past the hotel all the time so getting transport to nearby beaches wasn't difficult.

stayed here for few nights and had the boutique room. Room was ok but nothing special and to me defenetly not worth the price tag. Service was ok,but most of the staff didint speak even desent english. The property on the resort is nice though. Cabins are very close to each other and there is not much privacy. Didint preciate the over all service and when i left there 2 days before my booking ended for other reasons. When i left there was an older couple asking for available room and they werent ready to pay for the price resort were asking. I offered my room which still had paid days left the resort didint agreed to that. Even though i offered to leave my creadit card there for deposit. I really didint understand this and to me that werent cost any trouble for the resort. You cant find cheaper accomadation on the island which are better value for your money,.

We stayed at the Chaw Ka Cher for 7 nights in December 2011. We stayed in a pool veranda room which was spacious and spotlessly clean.
The hotel is about a 10 - 15 minute walk from the beach, however there are numerous taxis and tuk tuks passing if you don't fancy walking. There is a small pool at the hotel and sun loungers were always available.
For us simply the best thing about the hotel was the staff, without fail every staff member we came across was helpful and polite. In particular Da and her husband were absolutely lovely and could not do enough to help you. They booked trips for us and even arranged tickets to the Thai boxing for my husband.
If we went back to Koh Lanta we would 100% stay at the hotel again and I would totally recommend it if you want a relaxing boutique hotel.
