We landed at the MGM resort after lot of planning & waiting on 29th Dec, 2011. That was the unfortunate when the "Thane" cyclone also decided to visit the south eastern coast of India. We were unable to make the best of the beach & the outdoors of the resort, had to stay mostly indoors but loved the place. It is lovely big resort with a private beach area. We had specially ordered food as we were a big private group of over 50 people. The cottages are spacious & quite luxurious. Would love to go again to make the best of the resort.

A sprawling resort with one of the best waterfronts amongst the resorts on ECR road. MGM is conveniently located about an hour to an hour and a half’s drive from Chennai (depending upon the traffic) and offers the convenience of a fairly high end resort. A true value-for-money getaway, from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the bathrooms are also large and have modern amenities.
While the resort is popular with families and corporates alike, the good thing about MGM is that, these two co-exist quite peacefully, given the size of the resort.
The GM Mr Sunil Tandon, ably supported by Mr Shanmugam, the Dy GM, and the staff, provide a very warm and personalized experience to a visit to the resort.
The MGM offers a wide variety of cuisine, which will satisfy any hungry guest! It also has live music over the weekend. Because of its location and service we have become regulars of this place.

Private beach OF this resort is just a few meters away.They have direct way to access the beautiful beach.
Unfortunately,they are not allowing to swim in the sea. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
At the breakfast buffet were a lot of varieties of food offered. very friendly and kind staff.
I highly recommend this resort when you plan to relax your holidays in hotel itself.

This family outing was planned to celebrate birthday of one of the family members. The trip turned out to be a very poor experience. The starting point- reception desk was poorly managed and is not customer friendly at all. Had to wait for allotment of rooms for nearly 2 hours. The buffet lunch hall was very crowded and noisy added to the sultry weather.
The deluxe room & toilet needs lot of improvement. The so called Gymnasium & spa closes down at 7pm.
I will not again take a chance to stay at this place.
