Unlike some other reviewers we found the staff very helpful and friendly and the service was good. On the minus side the hotel was somewhat run down, a lot of the tiles on the outside stairs up to first floor rooms were broken, the room was a good size, with a reasonable sized bathroom but neither were as clean as they should have been, the bed sheets were old and thin and torn (shredded actually) at the bottom. On the plus side our room had a large balcony which faced out onto pine trees where visitors where having private bbqs and tea parties and we could see the beach and sea - we loved the view. There was a decent sized swimming pool but unfortunately the filter could not cope with the size of the pool and the number of people swimming and the pool was dirty and cloudy. The buffet dinner had a great choice of dishes but the food was cold, when we ate food from the menu it was hot and well cooked and most enjoyable. It is such a shame, the owners have the most wonderful site, spacious with a large open air restaurant but ruined by being run down and dirty. We are not fussy and if the pool had been clean and the food hot we would have given this place 4 stars but the combination of the high price, cold food and dirty rooms and the dirty pool just brought the place down.
