This is Prakash you call me juju, just now I married, me and my wife have gone honey moon to kodaikanal. we have gone to Hotel Sun Rise along a guide, Hotel is good, I stayed in a suite room, the decoration and balcony view is excellent, we got city view & excellent valley view.
second day they arrange as candle light dinner, we enjoyed lot and staffs too help us to capture numbers of captures, we really enjoyed the honeymoon. especially hotel travel desk person was helpful he has arrange all sight seeing with good discount, Hot water is good one,I am really happy spent my holidays in kodaikanal.

Staff are not professional, has to be train up.

I am kalai, I have been stayed in Hotel Sun Rise in the month of January, Good service and hotel has good view, rooms are clean & spacious. 24 hrs hot water and LCD TV is advantage.
the best offer is The Hotel Sun Rise provide me a tour package with discount.I am Okay with tariff too, that is reasonable only.

"Wish to come back"

This hotel does not keep its promise. Full payment is needed to book a room. They state that any cancellations need to be made 48 hours in advance in order to get a refund. They refused to give us any refund after we cancelled our booking a full week in advance (we could not enter Tamil Nadu from Kerala because fo a conflinct between the states). Contacting them since has been very difficult. I would be very wary of them

We stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel is new, the bed and bath fittings are modern and good, rooms are spacious and the view from the room (not all rooms have great view though) is good. However, they do not clean your room when you leave for your day's sightseeing unless you leave the keys with them. You might have to ask for soap and towel. The staff are nice and helpful but not professional; my guess is they are not trained. Overall, a good experience.
However, please avoid the restaurant. The restaurant owner kept requesting us to have food there as we were going out to have dinner. So we promised him we will have breakfast at his restaurant on the next day. We ordered Aloo Paratha which clearly they have no idea how to make and the amount of time they took to prepare the food makes me think they started from boiling the potato keeping guests waiting. To top it, the awful food was highly overpriced! Also, we used to order tea in our room and the crockery was of very cheap quality, either cracked or chipped and dirty too!
You can opt to stay in this hotel; but the hotel is not as grand as its first look is! And, definitely avoid the restaurant!
