We were booked into this hotel through Intrepid Travel on the Northern India Unplugged Tour. It was nice to be there for 1 night away from the city to relax and enjoy the bird park. The hotel wasn't very busy when we stayed there as we only saw 3 other guests.
The food was good but a little too pricey compared to what we had been paying in other parts of the state. We ate lunch, dinner and breakfast and all were good. We enjoyed a campfire that evening to stay warm. The owner and his wife were there with us. All of our group (5 of us) wanted some chocolate so he sent an employee to go to the store and he came back with 5 Kit Kats. We weren't even asked to pay for them(good service).
We were able to pay for all of our meals upon check out instead of paying after each of our 3 meals that we ate there. The itemized bill was correct for the 2 of us for our 3 meals, another plus.
The first room we had #10 was filled with mosquitoes(over 30 plus we counted). They moved us to another room upon our request. It was upstairs (i think #12) and wasn't as nice but there were no mosquitoes, which was most important to my husband and I. The other 3 people traveling with us had no problems so I think the door had just been left open to the room before we checked in allowing them to enter the room.
The wifi was only available in the office/reception area until 5pm we were told so we didn't utilize it. We arrived around 1pm then had lunch and off to the bird park by 3pm.
The bed was actually a king bed instead of 2 twin beds pushed together. It was a great night of sleep.
