We stayed here 2 nights (USD$25/night). We paid extra for the nicest room with AC. It was mostly clean, but had a few mosquitoes. The bathroom had a bathtub and handheld shower with hot water. We had to ask twice before they sent someone to the store to buy toilet paper. They must think us Westerners are crazy for expecting toilet paper in our hotel rooms. One of the brothers who runs the place is also a naturalist and was our guide at Kaleadeo National Park. He did a great job and we saw many neat birds and animals. They served food upon request which was tasty, but slow to come and rather small portions. The women of the house were rarely seen, but the brothers had a hired “working boy” to help them. He was 13 years old, illiterate and unable to speak any English. The brothers referred to him as the “lazy” boy and didn't treat him very well. It made us sad because he was nice to us, pointed out monkeys on the rooftop and seemed to just want to act like a kid. The room was mostly quiet except for nearby barking dogs. The location was very close to the park entrance. Overall, this room was slightly overpriced for what we got.
