My husband and I stayed here for one night as part of a larger group at the start of our tour of the region. The hotel is well situated within 5 minutes' walk of the town centre and bazaar area. Rooms are spacious and very clean, although the bathroom was a little dimly lit.

We stayed in a room on the second floor at the front of the hotel - wonderful view from our window to the hills beyond, no trouble with traffic noise from the road but we were woken up very early by the call to prayers from the mosque on the opposite hill! Others staying at the back of the hotel did not hear this noise but equally did not enjoy the wonderful hillside views we had, so I guess you have to decide what's more important to you.

The vegetarian food on the a la carte menu in the hotel restaurant was tasty (try the okra in tomato sauce), although other members of the group who ordered fish weren't so enamoured with their choices.

Be aware that hot water in the hotel is only available at peak times (6-10am and 6.30-9pm when we were there), and takes an age to come through the pipes when it is heated, so brace yourself for perhaps having to have a cool shower.

An excellent base for exploring Munnar.

I was here with friends in a nice little Tea town of Munnar. We got the suite which was definitely good with a hall and a bed room. The restaurant and service was also was pretty good and this place was pretty close to the Tata tea facility we were visiting.

the restaurant is fantastic,but hot water is only available at certain times,like at most hotels up there. romantic wake up in the morning by the sound of the nearby hindu temple, we'll come again

After looking on tripadvisor we had decided to go to T&U..but when we arrived at munnar we realized that that hotel was too far and dropped it. it was also expensive...This hotel, isaacs residency, was right in the middle of town.. after looking at celestium (VERY DIRTY) we decided to try this hotel. since it was off season we got a discount rate instead of paying 3000 we paid around 2000! very freindly staff helps with everything. have a computer with internet fro use if u pay a fee..they have a great restaurant! food in munnar was horrible acoridng to our hyderabadi taste but this hotels biryani was great!
ngative of this hotel was-- the hot water timings were annoying but it suited our needs. 7-10 in the morning at 6-10 at night.--drivers room wasnt that clean. our driver slept in the car.
This is a very clean and beautiful hotel. reccomend for american travelers(my sister..picky american teen loved it!). We got two deluxe rooms. Comfy bed. Clean linen, nice BATHROOM!! good view! large room! They have carrom board, transportaion arrangnements, help with tourism, massage arrangments and more. They would give us ice, plates if we got food from outside, cleaned up messes my two yr old son made and lots more. I loved this restaurant and hotel! our stay for two days/three nights was great!! I would stay at this hotel if I went again and would recomend! Worth every penny!
