We went to the Mountain Trail resort in Dec 2011 as a family.I have travelled around the world and have stated in many hotels and resorts.Its the first time I ever saw a resort , which does not have "mattress" on the bed and pillows are so dirty.Paint is worn out.Food is ok.We went to have dinner on night and there were no rotis in the buffet.We requested for rotis" and I overheard one of the staff telling another one" bring only 4 or 5 rotis or else we will be out of rotis". They thought I do not understand their language.The staff are really hardworking and this is the only highlight of this resort. I asked the Manager what star has the resort got and his answer was the wierdest I ever heard" 3 star with 4 star facilities. They dont even have a one star facility there. All I can say is , my vacation got screwed up totally. There is s place called Anayirangal , 10 kms away frm the resort , which is a beautiful and peaceful place.Never go and stay in this resort.I could pay the same amount of money or more in other resorts and be treated like a Maharaja.Horrible experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a nice little resort located on top of mountain, about an hour drive from munnar. Rooms were clean with nice views of the valley. Food and service were excellent. I could have given this location a 5* for being very isolated or a 3* for the same reason. Make sure you wake up early and take a hike and visit nearby village or cardamom plantation.

I stayed in last week of 2011 at this luxury lodge and thoroughly enjoyed its offering of amazing hillviews, comfortable amenities and excellent service. Food was decent enough n staff was courteous n helpful.
All in all, a great place to relax amidst nature!

This is by far the most aptly located resort in Munnar.Its far away from Munnar town (abt 25 kms).The view from the cottages are mind blowing..Hospitality is on par and food was excellent.
