Just left royal mist with my girlfriend and all I can say is we were very lucky to stay here. We needed a tranquil place after travelling so much and this was one of the most relaxing places we stayed.
Anil and Jeeva are really hospitable , the food was home cooked and qualiy. Real keralan food.
The rooms are spotless and have lovely views . The grounds are lovely and really I can't say enough about how lovely the family are. They give you alot of tips and help. Only three rooms so book way ahead. Home stays are the way forward. TOP CLASS homestay.

You look for wonderful homestay, wonderful people and a clean and nice accommodation, than you find it. Great place to stay nearby Munnar! Everthing you might want to see can be reached by taxi easily and on the other hand Anil und Jeeva are always pleased to help you. We had a wonderful time...

During our Kerala trip we chose spontaneously to stay at this place because of the excellent recommendations. Phone contact with Anil was already very welcoming and once we arrived there, he and his wife Jeeva took perfect care of us. They have 3 small rooms, beautifully designed and equipped with bathrooms of high standard. Delicious food (breakfast and water is included in the room rate) is served on the terrace with magnificent views to the mountain area. The location outside of the busy city ofof Munnar (10km) is a gem of tranquility and a good starting point for trekking and other activities. Also a bus station is right in front.
Anil and Jeeva made sure from the very beginning until the end that we felt "at home" and helped us to organize activities according to our needs. We sincerely regret that we couldn't spend more time here and will surely return once we come back to Munnar.

Anil and Jeeva were so warm, friendly, and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and clean, letting out onto an open porch where we took our meals, which were delicious and prepared fresh, covering various north and south Indian cuisine - way better than anywhere we ate in Munnar town. Royal Mist is located well outside the town of Munnar, but this is actually a perk, and town can be easily reached by bus. Anil was a great source of advice on local destinations, and helped arrange a guided ridge walk that took us through lovely scenery, including tea and spice plantations. He also helped us plan the next leg of our journey by bus, making things so much easier, and checking to see that we arrived safely. We particularly enjoyed meeting other travelers and couples staying at the homestay. We can't say enough good things about our stay there, and wish we could have spent longer at Royal Mist.
