“Don't Go”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

I have just come back from Goa on 29th Jan. I had done my booking for 3 nights 4 days at Bambolim, but couldn't spend more than a night. It is not a place for couples (which was my case) because does not have an atmosphere for that. There is no restaurant close by, and the closest place is Panjim and the only option to go there is my hiring a taxi which will take atleast 500 Rs to drop you there. The resort's restaurant gives expensive food, but the pain point is that they play horrible music which is really too loud for you to enjoy. It may be louder than a disc also. You can't talk. Now you don't prefer to have a sea side breakfast with your wife in that loud music.
If you want to visit it as a place of rest, you won't get any, since there is too much of music. It is completely non Goa like, and it is not worth it.
The toilet's are horrible, the bed room is not maintained. Please don't have the welcome drink, you will repent is later.
I ended up shifting after one night only and preferred losing my money because I wanted to enjoy my holidays.

My only suggestion is don't go. I didn't see anyone happy there because of the noise.

“One Night Only”

Stayed for one night only. Thank God. Had I decided to stay for more days my whole holiday would have been spoiled. First of all this hotel is difficult to find. Then this hotel is located in a very lonely location and there is nothing nearby. The only grace is a nice little swimming pool. Rooms are very basic without TV and intercom. Sometimes you feel that there is nobody to take care of you in the whole hotel. The reception is generally unattended. There is no restaurant in the hotel except some tables & chairs under a tree. The beach is like a private one with no outsiders visiting it. Outsiders may be avoiding it due to its remoteness and shabbiness. I felt really bored in this hotel, so I would not recommend anybody to plan here for longer durations. The only people who may like complete solitude will like it.

Room Tip: There are two wings in this hotel. The older one is away from the beach and has standard rooms. The...

“Completely apathetic staff and out of date hotel”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

My husband and I stayed here for 2 days over xmas break 2011. We were completely shocked at the apathy of the staff. They were not friendly, the food at their free breakfast was horrible, and the facilities they touted such as the exercise room, internet cafe, and grounds looked as though they havent invested a dime in the place in 25 years. The gym literallly had treadmills folded up so you couldnt use them and had dust and cobwebs all over it. The internet room was padlocked closed and the cafe was non existent. The only good thing was the view. It was impossible to find someone to give you a towel at the pool and the reception people didnt say a word when you chekced in and didnt look you in the eye or smile. The hallways were dusty and the showers hardly worked. You had to fill a bucket with water and pour it on yourself to bathe. The TV also didnt work. All of this would be acceptable if they didnt charge $250 a night -- more than we paid at a 5 star hotel in Mumbai. It is unbelievable that this place still exists. DO NOT stay here. They opened a new grand Hyatt just next door - we ate there for xmas brunch. Go there. It is worth whatever you have to pay. We plan on staying there next time.

I stayed with my family @ BBR between 26th dec n 21 st dec... its a beautiful resort with lots of greenery n an excellent almost private beach!!! we stayed in a see facing cottage (204) but room was a little too small... the food n service was o.k but the ambiance was amazing... would like to go there again...

Room Tip: this property is a little far from market, so do rent a scooter or car...

“"Overall was very good experience"”

"The location & scenery is excellent, so close to Panjim yet secluded in a private beach & private view of the same. Monsoon visit was a great experience, and I'm sure it will be fun in season as well. Suite rooms are the best endorsed (because I stayed in them) and find it difficult to get over the lovely experience. My stay is with Bambolim Beach Resort for sure.

Room Tip: Pick the rooms which are beach facing
