Loved everything about Lily Pond. Ambiance, food, hosts, comfort, locaqtion, etc. I will definitely be back.

The location of the Lily Pond is great. I went there with a friend for a mini vacation 4 days and we were able to walk up and down the shops on the West End during the day and bar hop at night. It was all very nice to be within walking distance and still be able to go home and not hear the party you just left. Sleeping there was quite peaceful and relaxing. For beaches there is a beach on the West End but we got on a water taxi that took no more than 5 minutes to get to West Bay and were able to enjoy those beaches and restaurants while there.
The Lily Pond really and truly exceeded all my expectations upon arrival. I walked up to the cute little white picket fence and was greeted by Luis. He knew exactly who we where and just showed us straight to our room, very hospitable from the beginning. Once in our room, we took in the décor, and our very own patio with a fountain! Zak and Luis were quite possibly the best hosts anyone could ask for. Every morning we woke up and had a delicious breakfast and coffee. Which was served at whatever time we woke up, unlike most hotels that have a cut off time for your complimentary breakfast. I personally took a look at all the rooms they have at the Lily Pond and they are all so cute. The top of the house has a wonderful view and you just want to sit up there and take in the view for a minute. Again Luis and Zak were so nice and accommodating, we couldn’t have asked for better service. They took very good care of us and even arranged for a taxi to take us to the ferry that did not want to rip us off and charge $20 or more for a 15 minute ride.

I didn't know that Lily Pond was a bed and breakfast, untill I stumbled past a cute fence to look at their fantastic menu! I had only wished that I knew about this place before I came to Roatan!! What a special Staff!! When My boyfriend and I ate dinner, there was a special ambiance to the place, and the Owner took time out to light candles around us while we ate.. Magical. We also discussed Lily Pond being a B&B... We got a private tour!! The rooms where adorable!! I loved the owner being excited for the newly weds arriving the next day, as he fussed over the decorations in their room!!! ADORABLE, pictures do not do justice!!! Great location by the way!!!!!

I loved Lily Pond House. My partner and I were staying at a very nice and prefectly adequate hotel in the local area, and stumbled across Lily Pond House whilst out walking one evening. We had dinner cooked by Luis the chef, (very good calamari, and were given a free glass of wine because the steak was not cooked to my requirements). Zak, the owner and creator of Lily Pond House came out and talked to us for some time, telling us about how he had come to Roatan on a 2 week holiday 6 years previously, and ended up building Lily Pond House and staying ever since. Suffice to say, we fell in love with the place and immediately requested to leave our existing accomodation and move in ASAP.

The house itself is built over 5 floors and is like a rambling treehouse, almost like something out of a movie. There is a narrow, twisty spiral staircase curling up the side of the building, and a sun terrace with stunning views to the ocean on the roof. I loved laying on the roof, watching the woodpeckers and listening to the windchimes. The rooms are big, and our room, Treehouse, was right in the thick of the foliage. It was so relaxing to hear the sound of the wind in the branches, and the four poster/ mosquito-netted bed was a very cute touch. At night, Lily Pond House is decked in fairy lights and lanterns, and it has a magical feel.

Zak and Luis are charming and easy-going, and Zak is rightfully proud of the baby he has created. Watch this space- he has bigger plans yet for Lily Pond House!
